Just received a reply to a question from Clubcard CS. I explained I had a 500 point envelope for recycling my old mobile phone and asked if it would still be honoured.
Their reply was "Thank you for your email.
I would like to let you know that you only get 200 Clubcard points for recycling mobile phones"
Admittedly they ignored a second question I'd asked - so it could be the common inaccuracy of the usual disinterested zombies employed by Tesco's Customer Services Department.
Does anyone have any recent experience of recycling mobile phones in a 500 point envelope?0 -
Not being satisfied with their previous answer (see above) I sent a curt follow-up e-mail and received a swift response - which I now share with you all.
"Meanwhile, I have checked with our Clubcard Support Team and they've informed me that you will still only receive 200 points for any mobile sent in for recycling in the old style envelope."
Be aware that buying the old style 500 points recycling envelope for over £3 each on eBay may well be just a waste of money.
I am about to send off a couple of old working mobiles in a 500 point envelope and I will report back in due course0 -

I’m looking into using Tesco points to pay for holidays. After reading some blogs etc. I’m a little unsure as to how much of a saving they are really worth. Some are saying that deals can be found that equal the brochure price minus the point value and so not worth the bother. But some are saying it’s worth it but not giving examples why.
Can anyone offer advise, experiences etc as to whether it is actually worth it?0 -
Hi, havn't been on here for a while:o. My opinion of the holidays with clubcard points is that if you can pay for all or a large majority of your holiday and there is nothing else club deals wise for you to exchange them for then do it. You are saving in the long run as you have accumulated them through no cost just your clever shopping:j. As for the cost of the hols yes they are full price but as i said if you have no other use for the deals use them and it will be a free holiday.0

This Friday two of us will be going to Cyprus in a 4* hotel for 1 week paid for by Mr T.
I have used my points for the last year to pay for this ( Last year 3 of us went for 1 week to Tunisia)).
I would not have had this holiday but for clubcard points. If I bought it online with cash I am sure that I would have seen the "price" drop but it wouldnt have been :T FREE :T would it?

Can anyone tell me if it is possible to use your clubcard and then pay with your Tesco credit card as well to get more points? I just pay with my credit card and never think to offer my "normal" clubcard as well......0

I've bought this milk twice this week and the extra points haven't shown up on my till receipt though the extra points on tea bags did. Looks like I'll need to go in again!
That happened to me last week I queried it & they put them on.
Just happened again tonight queried it & they said the points won't show up on my account straight away.
I told them I'd never heard of that & it had happened last week so they had them put on.
One SA didn't know what to say, I shop there all the time so she sort of knows me, the other one said ok we'll put them on if you want.???
It seems to me that the sytem is not set up to put the points on for the pure milk & being told they will show up on our accounts is a load of ????????????????.0 -

I've been buying this milk and the points have shown each time - so looks like it's store specific. Just a thought, you are buying 2 bottles at a time for the 40 points? Remember someone else reporting points not showing on another forum, but they were only buying one bottle.0 -

A "normal" clubcard is already incorporated in your Tesco Credit Card so you would not get any more points if you handed over a separate clubcard. This is why Tesco say that using their credit card you earn 5 points for every £4 you spend in Tesco and 1 point for every £4 spent anywhere else. In fact you are earning just 1 clubcard point for every £4 you spend in or out of Tesco - it is just that because their credit card is also a clubcard, you earn the extra 4 points in Tesco which you would have using a clubcard anyway. Hope this makes sense!0
