I queried this with them by email and got a reply saying they are switching to cash vouchers instead of pints because customers preferred them! I don't think so ...
I won't be shopping at Tesco nearly as much!

  • i dunno if this has been mentioned but now you cant add any points from reciepts [ ie if you forgot your card, or rater naughtily accidently picked up a few receipts from the floor] unless they are SIGNED by the cashier!!!!!!

the other day i had a GENUINE receipt from when i did my big shop [ 60 points!] but cos it was from a month ago [when the signing thing obv hadnt started] she wouldnt let me have it!!!! grrrr

    just a word of warning:)

this was in liverpool central store

As far as i know, that's not a nationwide policy, maybe just your store? However there's a sign at customer services saying you only have 2 weeks to get the points added and you can only claim 2 receipts per day
  • If I have a CC Plus account can I credit the account at the service desk using a credit card or does it have to be cash or debit card?

I would have thought it would have to be cash or debit card. If you use a credit card, it will be treated as a cash advance and you'll be charged a fee plus interest.

I had a coupon in my clubcard statement for 200 points if I spend £10 on baby or toddler clothing - does anyone know if it will work on other clothing? my toddler is very tall so he's wearing clothes from their older range, not the toddler range.

  • Hi, tesco website says that old receipts must be added within 14 days. I suspect it was the age of the receipt that was the problem rather than it being signed.
  • Hi,

we off to London in December, and though that using my stash of tescos vouchers for couchers to use in bella italia and Pizza express seemed a good idea. But only if they're going to come in small chunks rather than big chunk - then we can use them when we get home as well if we didn't use them all while away.

Could someone please tell me do you get a big say £100 to use in the restaurant, or will it be broken down into a number of smaller ones ?

    thanks

They send the tokens out in £10 units, but if you process each of your vouchers separately, you may end up with a £5 token too, which comes in handy sometimes. Remember to keep a tab on the cost of the food only to make the best use of them, as drinks are not included!
