Boosting your Tesco Clubcard Points Discussion Area

The last two times my mum has shopped in Tesco's she was given a double points coupon with her receipt. I went shopping on the same days and spent more money then her yet I didn't get a coupon.

Does anyone know why this might be?

Does anyone know if you can still get clubcard plus???

Also last time I applied for one i stupidley applied for an overdraft with it and was told i could not have a card at all. If i did apply for one now (obviously NOT applying for overdraft facility) do you think I would still get one????

I got my Clubcard statement today. There's not one bonus points coupon included with it, unless you count a coupon to be entered into a draw to win 1000 points!

yes you can, i recently got one! I'm pretty sure that if you apply for one without an overdraft you should get it without any problems!

Yeah, I got the draw one (i expect everyone got that one) and one for 55 extra points on filter coffee (which I buy regularly) but the rest are money off stuff I don't buy and a free music download which I expect DD can use - disappointing compared to previous mailings.

They have stopped these due to Coupon abuse

i dunno if this has been mentioned but now you cant add any points from reciepts [ ie if you forgot your card, or rater naughtily accidently picked up a few receipts from the floor] unless they are SIGNED by the cashier!!!!!!

the other day i had a GENUINE receipt from when i did my big shop [ 60 points!] but cos it was from a month ago [when the signing thing obv hadnt started] she wouldnt let me have it!!!! grrrr

No extra points in my 3 clubcard mailings recently here too. Just the 25p off ones. Even for the wine I now got a £10 off voucher rather than a 750points voucher. Obviously I prefer 750 points, as that is worth £30.

And I have noticed that they have stopped advertising their Deals as well. There seems to be a lot of emphasis on spending your points in-store or at Tesco Direct. It certainly gives the impression they are clamping down on points collecting.

By the tills in my local I picked up a photo booklet and inside were coupons for
200 points when you spend £10 or more on any personal photo gift - has anyone used these yet ?

Have spent this weekend and today avidly reading threads on the forum...;) especially interested in the Tesco point discussions. Anyway I have finally tracked down the Clubcard Plus!!!! They are sending out an application form to me today. The number to call is: 08457 104010, select option 1 and them option 2.
