As far an I'm aware, the Pye PRV645 is just a re-badged Philips 610
Heres some peoples comments of the Philips 610

The omission of a RGB Scart input is the big problem as I guess most people want to hook it up to an external source such as a Sky box or Freeview box.
I'm intrigued by this review as the online help of the box says to use RGB scart to record to increase the quality, which would kind of indicate it should be able to do it, and the review says you are limited to s-video from Sky - this won't be possible for the vast majority of Sky users as the boxes don't generally do s-video (some grundigs and all Sky+ does). I wonder if that highlights lack of knowledge on the part of the reviewer.
Also I dubbed 4 hours of a language program from a PVR to the cyberhome last night on the lowest recording mode it would go to. I haven't been very critical of the reproduction, but it does seem to be a damn sight better than I expected.
I will report back when I have done my tests0 -

From what I've read elsewhere it looks like the ME is the European PAL model. The MU / Zu models are possibly NTSC so we probably won't see them here.0 -
Does anybody know if the Asda superstores have in fact increased their prices on this recorder now? (I know the offer supposedly expired on the 31st of October)0

Its £85 at my Asda too
Are stores still selling cheaper? Did anybody manage to get a price match against a different Asda?
