I've just come across this thread. I've got a fair amount of money on CCs at the moment having paid for a massive holiday earlier in the year. Rather than use my mortgage pig to overpay my mortgage, it seems sensible to attack the CC I don't have on 0%. So I've just overpaid £12.63 as it was what was sat in the bank account and would have gone into overpaying the mortgage.
Not sure of the balance on this card: it's around £1400. I think I might aim to pay off some extra once a month, but money does go into my mortgage pig every day so that's a good start!MFW 2019#24 £9474.89/£11000 MFW 2018#24 £23025.41/£15000

Morning everyone
Sorry I haven't posted for a bit. I've kind of had a little breakdown. Basically I haven't been managing very well since I moved out of my mum's. I'm finding it really hard to cope with all my bills and debts. I have fallen behind with some payments and can't let it continue any longer.
I have therefore had to contact CCCS who are going to put me on a DMP. They think it will take 5 years and 9 months to clear my debts (providing my creditors freeze interest and charges) . So I am currently waiting for my pack to come through so I can get this sorted. I have been ringing creditors all morning and explaining my situation and offering token payments for now.
I thought that I could handle it all myself but I really couldn't. It has been affecting my health too (perfect if you need to lose weight - unfortunately at 7.5 stone I don't!!) so I needed to get it sorted.
Therefore, I won't be paying anymore off my credit card. I will instead be putting money in my terramundi each day so that I can build up a little nest egg for Christmas. I'm not going to count it up though, just keep putting it in and then get a nice suprise (hopefully) in a few months time.
I've started it off today with 50p.

Hi Emily
You have done amazing well so far, there ae very few people who can keep coming up with ideas to increase their income.
You have also inspired lots of people to start dealing with their debts pro-actively.
You have echieved so much this year - keeping up with debt payment, moving into own place, battling with heath problems, it is no wonder that it has come to a head.
You are doing theright thing, going on a DMp will take the preasure off of you, and you will probably find you have a little more money to take care of yourself.
Good luck with everything, and a big THANKYOU for being such an insparation (sp?)

Hi Emily just wanted to say thank you and i agree with stressed.mum, although i am fairly new to this site, your challenge has really inspired me to sort myself out and to start making a dent to my debt. :T
Although had a few emergency payments to make so unfortunately have had to use my credit card again by £700.00
I am a little short this week after the bank hols so have only managed to pay £5.00 off today, but every little helps and silly as it sounds, i would never have thought it was worth the hassle to keep transferring money, but it is very addictive!!
I will go and update my signature
