  • I would like to join in on this. I have been useless recently with my DFW aim, as my partner of 6 years left me a few months ago. I now have started seeing a man who is great with money which has made me realised how useless I am.
My first card to pay off daily will be my barclaycard, and I am going to pay my money from my lunch I would normally spend on it, and make lunch instead. £550 to start, will be great to see it go down.

  • ok, just emptied my purse, which would have been what I would have used for lunch and now have £2.41 in a little money bag in my drawer. At the end of the week I will go to the bank and put the money from the money bag on my Barclaycard. I can see this being really good for me.

    REM were fantastic last night.

:T I saw them in Manchester on Sunday. They get better every time I see them! :heart2: The Guillemots were very good as support as well.

Grr. Egg added on my interest today so I've slightly got that one step forward, two steps back feeling. Still my regular £60 payment comes off in a few days, and I take comfort from the fact that without all my small daily payments, things would be worse. :)

Emily - It sounds like you've made the right start in sorting things out. Good luck! :)

Emily - I owe you a heap of thanks for setting me off on this challenge. I'd had my ISA for ages and put absolutely nothing in it. Now barely 2 weeks later and I've saved £77. I've certainly found that my dmp eased the stress I was under and I'm sure it'll make life easier for you too. Take care.

Just transferred another £10 today so £77.02 in the ISA :j

Emily, I also want to thank you for this challenge, you've inspired me to tackle my OD slowly but surely. Things are sent to test us, and I'm sure you'll get through this. Always think positive and please try not to let it affect your health. Keep us updated and remember we're always here to have a rant to ;):D

    Good luck everyone else!

Paid £17.36 to my Egg card over the wkend. £7.36 from a savings account that is doing nothing, and £10 cashback from the purchases I made with the Egg card in the first place.

It works out as 2.5% of the balance, but still...
