Well what a day - OH has come home. He's admitted his depression has got the better of him and has agreed to medication and regular counselling.
The old banger deal has fallen through - it failed an MOT in spectacular fashion BUT my hire car was collected this morning so i have no car. I am insured to drive OH'S van but it only has 2 seats. Hopeful 1 - white van woman :rotfl:

Greenbynature - i think it was you that said about having to save £2 coins when you were given them. I had to use a £20 note to pay my parking today. It gave me £15 in change with 7 x £2 coins :eek: All in all i have £20 worth so will pay it in tomorrow. It will go towards paying off Vanquis which i have just done. Another statement paid in full :j I paid £50 in total as i think there is another £47 to pay off next month.

I think i might be able to sleep properly tonight now that i know hubby is safe. I had realised over the weekend it was the depression as he hadn't been in touch at all. One day at a time, hey?

Hi everyone

Have not posted for a couple of days... been sorting car after it was vandalised ... I have had it repaired and that cost me about £85. Also invested in a steering lock which was another £22. All in all, rather annoyed that this has set me back trying to pay off my overdraft by the end of the year but at least I have my car on the road.

Everyone has been doing so well. Congrats to all and especially those who have annihilated their credit card balances :T Just makes us all more motivated ! Definitely spurs me on.... and I needed that after the week I have just had.

Still working on reducing overdraft. My pad was £10 today. Hope I can get o/d down to zero before I run out of days in this month. If I can achieve this, I want to use my pad for overpayments on my mortgage.

Hugs to anyone who needs them ! especially those of you who are suffering loss or going through a difficult time.

Thank you Jo xxx Last Christmas he tried to take his own life and there have been a few difficult times since then. He's been great for months though and no-one saw this coming, so i really thought it was about me this time. When you've got children you have to keep going don't you? I've shed a few tears this week though! Whoever said about these sort of situations making us stronger was absolutely spot on.

Hi Jenjade. Yes it is a fab thread but NOOOOO don't wish you had debt!! A Payment a Day can be for savings too though. I can see from your sig however that you already have some great challenges going on. Good luck with them!

I have an OH with severe depression as well (Which I think had a lot to do with our little drama earlier in the month) and it's horrendous at times. All that you can do is be there for him and give him lots of support, and we will be here to give you all the support that you need.

Got home this evening to find my mobile bills hand come out... all £7.30 of it! I budget £35 for it, so now have £27.70 to pay off.... paying it off big card straight after typing this.... yay!

Well i still haven't been out Christams present shopping yet !:eek: ..... But i did order my daughter a mobile .... online yesterday early evening ..... didn't get her a mega expensive one either , so am feeling proud of myself ..... It arrived today :j .... Blo*dy hell , very fast delivery :T ......

I had intended going shopping today , but i had a really sh*te morning at work ...... followed by a horrendous " bust up " by text with the OH ..... My daughter won't be here on Christmas day , so OH and i had made plans for the day , but looks like that's all out the window now ....... So ended up spending the rest of the day really peeeeeeeeed off and feeling very sorry for myself :rolleyes: ......

Anyway i hope your day has been better than mine .....
