The more depressing fact is, that had Christmas not been here the amount you are all paying for presents could of gone to the debt !!
that’s what I have realised we paid £150 to DD’s xmas and I spilt some pressies for her Bday in Feb aswell so costs down in Feb 09 ! But that £150 could of gone to catalogue I really wanted to clear the catalogue and CC and make a dent in the BIG LOAN ! Grr butr hey ho so far I have £21.31 in PAD but I lent OH £170 which was aside for the catalogue, but he will put £100 to CC next month :j and the £70 spare when he can so we are getting there ! I probubly have more then that in Jan, over Mum n dads Xmas day and OH's family boxing day so we save on the food hehe

I will have to do a SOA in January I have been collecting totals off bills and things like DD's creche thats just had a small increase due to the extra 30 mins in the class, but I maybe doing a course in January 09 and her childcare costs will get paid off for me !! :j so the money we save on that shall go towards a payment needed to clear something ! and the NO NAPPIES they want to potty train DD January ! yikes so we will save money on nappies and wipes, also April payments go up on the Benefits and DD will also get free school so fab news on that front I don't seem to have much luck on survey sites or ipoints :o

    have a nice sunday !!

  • thanks to everyone for the kind messages. feeling a bit more together today - my grandad was 88 and had a happy life...it's a shock but not a surprise (if you know what i mean) as he hadn't been so good for a while.

no spend day for me (mainly cause we've loafed around the house!) and a pound to savings.

hope everyone is starting to feel a bit chrismassy now - and just want to reiterate what i've seen said a few times already - we are all doing so well, don't stress if everything doesn't go exactly to plan moneywise, just do your best and remember you are going in the right direction towards less (or no!) debt in 2009.

    xxx
Mortgage free as of 11/11/15 !

Hi all - sorry to hear of everyones problems, especially Tomtombeanie - must be hard, and even more so at this time of year. Best wishes from the weebag crew.

Had a no-spending day today. Fixed the curtain rail, wentshopping for waterproof motorbike boots for a prezzy for me, but couldnt justify Mrs weebag spending money on em, so didnt bother.

Took dogs for walk around local park - truly lovely watching them run and play. They came back FILTHY and have just had a bath.

Gonna have cheese and biscuits and wine for tea. Working tomoz, but then pretty much finished for week.

    £2.50 to CC today.

    Wee

    Wow.
I have two days away from this thread and its just taken me ages to catch up with you all! Good news is that I rang up Virgin to sort out payments on my broadband as I thought that they were charging me too much and not only did they agree and immediately credit the money back, they also offered me a better package that costs less money and has the phone calls included. Early Christmas present from then, who'd've thought it?

Bad news is that the money credited has already had to be spent on a bit for the car (the window kept winding itself down unexpectedly which was annoying when driving along but worrying for safety if it happens at night). But that's ok overall as that would have had to have been paid for and Virgin giving me my money back has sorted it.

Plus I'll be saving £9 a month in the future which will be going into my mortgage overpayments as its from the household budget and OH and I agreed that's what we'd do with any savings from there. Very MSE nonetheless.

Just a few pennies in my pot for me for the last few days. Will hopefully manage another payment before the end of the month to keep it below £150 and then I really want to see it gone asap so will have to apply myself to all the various money making schemes there are out there.

Hope everyone had a decent weekend. Blowing a gale and generally pouring down up here. Mad night out with the girls last night at a tribute band night - we all got dressed up in the style of the band...Abba complete with flares, flicked hair, blue eyeshadow, you name it.....and everyone else there was in normal evening clothes! I think they thought we were groupies. Still we had fun.

Tomtombeanie - sorry to hear about your news - 88 is a good age and I'm glad you have great memories of him to treasure.

  • just in time for todays payment!!! £1 in the pot. Have had a busy day which ended up in hospital!!but everything is fine, just had a fall in mrT on some water on the floor hit my belly so had to get baby checked, baby is fine and kicking away happily! also have to have injection because of the blood type i am if i have any knocks like that!!

Good thing though is our car seams to be ok now.....the garage (friend of dads) Said it should?!?! be ok aslong as we dont let the fuel get low and then no air should get in any more! so atleast it gives us a little time before needing it fixed to save a bit for it??

best go to bed now as sooooo tired.....
