  • Morning all, only loose change for the pot today I'm afraid, about 38p altogether!!!
Aug GC £63.23/£200, Total Savings £0
  • Day 1 - Saturday 1st November:

    £1.00 for a no-personal-spend day.

£5.69 for cashing in change-jar at coinstar machine and using at Morrisons.

£3.00 - we went to a bonfire last night where you had to take your own booze. I budgeted £10 for a crate of lager but I spent £7 on 10 tins of Stella, rather than 24 tins of Skol, it sounds a bit cheap but I knew DH wouldn't drink as much as we took with us, and that it would like cheap if we took un-used cans home, so therefore I opted for the cheaper option (even though per tin it was dearer). So, I was expecting to pay £10 but only spent £7 so £3 to add to the PAD total.

£1.55 interest that I transferred from a savings account to the current account.

Grand Total paid off so far = £11.24
    Start Date: 27/11/2010
    Padding: Day 42
    Target £8000
    Amount: £562.23

Thank you so much everyone for your kind words. I did feel a bit down yesterday but am a lot more positive about things today. At the end of the day the bills are all paid apart from a car payment which i will have to make off my cap 1 card.

As you say Terri, i haven't fallen into old ways with payday loans and just for once i did have my own money to fall back on. Someone actually owes me a tenner which will go towards petrol and i have enough in my purse for any extra shopping. I know things could be so much worse. I'm lucky that hubby will be paid again at the end of the week - hopefully the right amount!

Managed £1 to evil loan and cap 1 card.

Have a very good day everyone and thank you again ;):D

  • Hi, not having a very good day today, have given myself a headache on the computer this morning. I felt really bad last night for taking so long to pay my mum back what we owe her so I convinced myself it would be great to try and get all the money for her before christmas, to be nice! I ended up applying for every loan/overdraft going and getting rejected all over the place. I think I've added 3 or 4 searches(?) to my file in the space of an hour(!) and all for nothing. Am feeling really fed up and now am gutted that I've been stupid in applying for stuff, don't know what I was thinking! And now I'm wondering why I wasn't accepted for anything! I've got my Credit reports and they're good. Grrrr.

Anyway, have managed to save a £2 coin this weekend...!

Hope everyone else is having a good weekend, x
  • P.S. Does anyone know how long these searches/applications/rejections will stay on my file for?

I'm not sure but thought about 6 months?

It is disheartening Purpleposting when you're rejected. I applied for a A & L account the other day and was rejected. I have got nasties on my file though. Barclays and Abbey defaulted me but the amount was less than the charges they added so i need to sort that out.

It's easy to get impatient but i'm sure your mom wouldn't want you to get further into debt with repayments and interest? If you're able to give her an amount regularly at least she knows you're doing your best.

Chin up hun. I had my down day yesterday, you're obviously having yours today. What are we like?! ;)

    Big hugs xxx

  • Thanks Hopeful,
I don't know what I was thinking. Hubby has promised to make a nice sunday lunch (he's a chef!) so looking forward to that, have just had some headache tablets and off to get a cup of tea!
It's just my debt-free-wannabe eagerness that got the better of me! Big hugs to u too, lets hope for a better week ahead! x
