  • Morning everyone, hope you are all ok.

I'm loving this payment a day thingy too, if only I could stop buying Crunchies n crisps (Oooh marmite crisps) several times a week I could pay more :o . But today I got my £50 cheque from Tesco for changing my insurance to them, the best thing is its a cheque, so I can go spend the money in Asda!

Anyway, £1 from me today :T

  • Yikes - have had to re-post this completely, I got my figures wrong!!!

My HSBC overdraft amount is £1500, which is costing me roughly £22 per month in interest! I'd really like to get this paid off at the rate of £100 per month.

I'm aiming to do this by "Looking after the pennies" and try and transfer so many pence daily so I don't miss it.

EG - I tend to buy lunch from shops 2-3 times per week at £3 per time // 2 x Magazines at £1.20 each // Sunday newspapers // spending money on things I don't need for the sake of it.

So, I am going to aim to "reward" myself by "paying" the HSBC account with £1 for each day I manage to have a no-spend day.

  • Right - I have made my first payment. I have transferred interest from my savings account over to the current account, which was £1.55.

  • Just £1.00 to Halifax CC for me today. Have to pay car tax today and car insurance next week!! Just bought 6 months, then in April I'll get 12 months so at least it will be staggered away from my insurance! Off to suss out quidco as never been there before and apparently i can get some sort of cashback on the insurance?

    Hello all

I LOVE this thread - been lurking for ages and thought it was about time I posted.

My work varies between office and home, and when at office I usually buy a baguette, chrisps etc...since reading this thread ive been taking sandwiches in and paying £2.50 towards a debt!

Everysay I pay at least £1.00 towards a debt online. And of course I never miss the money as its such a small amount.

I actually look forward to the bills coming in at the moment coz I know im gonna be able to deal with it by lurking on this forum.

    Thanks all.
