Well I'm chuffed to bits today. For the last goodness knows how many months we have always been overdrawn in our joint account. Today I was able to use part of the money I had saved to my ISA, plus £100 saved in the £1 and £2 pot to bring the joint account back into the black and there is nothing more to pay out of it until next month when we are paid again.

We actually have more going into the account than going out of it but because I had lost the login details I was unaware of some problems with non-payments of direct debits due to my dh's money disappearing for days between leaving his account and arriving in the joint account so there wasn't enough in the account when the mortgage direct debit was due to be paid and we incurred bank charges.

I'll be saving more next month using this challenge but this time to both my ISA and the joint savings account.

Sorry for the long-winded explanation but I'm just so happy (would add a smilie but they're not working).

Found 45 pence under the sofa when I hoovered so that has gone in the pot bringing me to £6.07 to go to the dreaded MBNA.

Also remembered that I had juast over 80 euros left from our last holiday. This comes to about £63 but less with commission to trade back. Going to keep it and give to DSD for Christmas as she is going off to work on a cruise ship in the New Year as a beautician. Going to make her a travel hamper.

    Have a good day everyone.
