  • Hello All - Can I join in with you please? This is my first post on MSE ever. I have been lurking for over a year now and had two LBM, the first one a few months ago resulting in me spending even more. Now - I've sorted my money out - changed to 0% credit cards - done a proper budget for the first time in years and am all set to go and get those debts down, down, down.

I think this challenge is such a great idea. I have really enjoyed reading all your posts. I used to think nothing of paying out 70p for a coffee from the machine and a bun for 50p every day. Now I just don't take any money into work at all. I just have my debit card in case of emergencies and to buy petrol.

I work 5 days a week full time in an office so am taking in packed lunches and snacks. The tips, recipies and ideas I have picked up from the guys who post on the Old Style thread are fantastic. I've got a hubby and a 12 year old son.

For this challenge I'm aiming to pay off something every day towards my Egg card.

Hi searching_me I pay my min monthly payment then make daily payments through out the month. I think some people just pay a lump sum at end of month

I have a money bag in my draw and every day i add something to it, even if its just a penny so that I know I have added to it and dont get it out of the routine. Then on payday I pay that and the minimum payment on my card. At present I have an extra £12 to pay ontop of my minimum paymen of £15 so I should double my payment every day. :o

well only £2.75 in th pot for me today (savings on my shopping at tesco and asda) but at least its something.

Have decided that as all my debts are on 0% finance I will use this payment a day challenge for my house and contents which is due at the end of September. After shopping around it will be £193.48  (plus £50 in vouchers from Mr T but I am not counting that). So far I have saved £146.48 in my payment a day account so just another £46.88 to save for the rest of this month.

    Have a good weekend all
