Paid £3 off Orange today but that is also for tomorrow. Living on very tight budget this week as have a couple of 'big ones' to pay out
Also added £1 to savings. I'm determined to make sure i have money set aside for the (*whispers*) Christmas. Hubby is self employed and work is always quiet at that time, meaning he has no income. I'm also saving in a credit union straight from salary too.
Just noticed nearly halfway with Orange bill - yay!One step at a time0 -

Ho ho just checked the Egg online statement as it came through yesterday and there were 18 payments showing on it and 18 thank yous from Egg:rotfl:
Anyway just paid them £5.14 and am now determined to see a lot more thank yous from them on my October statement!
Does anyone else get excited about things like this or am I just sad?:o
Have a great Sunday everyone.
Hi Jo41 I'm the same so I must be sad as well!Plus since I've been doing this payment a day my egg balance has actually gone under 4 grand for the first time in well over a year so I'm very happy - can't wait to pay it off in full

I get excited about being debt-free too now - it's sad isn't it?! It's worth it though, it's completely helping me changing my attitude towards money and budgeting.
Since starting to write and budget in a notebook I'm now able to plan where my money is going and can see which weeks I can make extra payments.
Am a bit skint for a while now tho! I only have 1p in my account and I changed my coppers up the other day!0 -

I agree with you purpleposting4. Having got the accounts out of the overdraft has given me such a boost and because I log into our accounts daily I can see where everything is going so I'm much more in control of my spending.
Like you, I'm not going to be doing much spending/saving until next week when I get paid - although my ds will be paying his board this week which will buy the groceries for the next fortnight. Then it'll be back to the daily saving.
I'll still be looking in everyday though to see how everyone is getting on.Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts - DFW Nerd 323

Well if its sad then im very sad!! I cant wait to be debt free, its going to be a while yet, but this challenge is helping me to speed it up by making payments with money that would usually be spent on stupid things!
We can all be sad together and look forward to becoming debt free!Biggest Loser Weight Loss: 13 / 20 lb0 -
