Stardrops I think your monkeys are absolutely fantastic and you could make a business out of this.
How do you get the snout so neat?
They are so professional and I am loving the accessories.
A friend contacted me last night to make one for her but I said no because I don't think they are at a standard where I could sell them. If i could perfect the snout I would feel better.

P.s loving all the other monkeys too xx

Shelley3774 - I pin the "snout" on before I sew and stuff it, other than that I don't do anything special:D

Loubob - you could make the monkey then buy a pair of wrestling themed socks to make a little hat, scarf, bag:confused: hope that helps

    Hi LOUBOB

The hat and bags are the made from the ankle part of the socks.
For a hat I cut the sock above the heel turn it upside down and put the rib part round the monkeys head. I usually cut it a bit a bit more off the top at this point, then do a running stitch across the sock about half way up and pull to gather then secure with a couple of back stitches. Then cut the top part with scissors to get the shredded look.
For the bag use the ankle part again, cut the piece to whatever size you want the bag to be and sew up one end(the rib part is the top of the bag), then sew a piece of cord or whatever you have to make a strap.

The scarves are a 1-2" strip cut from the foot part of the sock from the heel to the toe, I again cut the ends to get the shredde look:D

Can't help you with the knitted hat and scarves I use as my lovely mam makes them for me:D

Sorry if you can't follow these instructions but I'm useless at explaining things:rotfl: I can take some pics if you are still struggling:D

I'm going to south florida for a month in april and my first shopping trip will be to look for the rockford heel socks.

many thanks Stardrops for your instructions....will have to have a go later on!!! although a BIG IF....if you have time for some pics that would be wonderful, I am better at following pics and this will probably help others!!! You will have to create an on line Monkey's Clothes store....Monkeys could be dressed and accessorized according to the season and fashion!!!! Or am I going a little too far ????? surly not!!! :rotfl:
