Wow, I have missed some fab monkeys, and I'm loving the accessories you have all been adding too!

Thanks for all the congrats. We're doing really well, but things are soooo busy. Anyway, here's a picture of my little monkey at five days old (on Sunday - he's a week old today):

Oh, and yes, those are monkeys on his sleepsuit LOL!

Awwwwwwwwww congratulations Natbag he is adorable ... the first thing I saw when I looked at him were his eyes ... they are the same colour as my daughters when she was born, she also had a little mark above her eye ... Well done to you :D

    Evening all,

well i've made my first monkey - I've managed to lose one of his ears but apart from that all is looking good! I'm a non-sewer so would appreciate advice, what do I stuff him with? The instructions say 'stuffing' and I know this will sound thick but I don't know what it is.

Help for a novice stitcher would be really appreciated!
Thanks for the advice Martin! :money:

Lorne teddy bear stuffing or a cheap pillow just cut the pillow open and use what is inside.

Thank you both so much! I just wondered whether there was something special I needed to order, I've got an asda round from work so I'll pop there tomorrow. Really appreciate your responses, I'm looking forward to seeing my finished monkey - I just hope I can find his missing ear!

  • the plus side for me for using the pillow stufiing was that it's machine washable which is really handy with my son who's 3 and my daughter who has just turned 1. as everything gets covered in chocolate/crisps/dinner/breakfast/ juice etc lol

    Hi Ch3rrie

Thankyou for the comment, I used the tutorial I found on this thread (don't need to look at it now, I've made that many:D ). I think it's the one most of us use, it's very good and easy to follow. Here is the link, I hope it works;)
