These are a few of my latest ones. The photo of Bertie doesn't show the exact correct colours as the green stripe is the same as the bobbles on his hat.

I have an embroidery machine and use a special frame to embroider on socks, so can personalise them that way.

the hats are made from plain socks. 2 hats from one sock - the toe part is the one with the rolled bottom and the leg part makes a hat with a ribbed bottom.

well, i cant find any nice socks anywhere. primark used to do really nice sparkly ones but dont have any. dont like the ones in my peacocks at the moment either. and the pound shops dont have any nice ones!!!

I buy mine from a local market, £1.99 for the over the knee stripy ones and they are very stretchy so nice fabric to work with. I also get them from boyes at 99p. B&M also had some nice socks, and supermarkets will do them at reasonable prices too.

Here are my latest editions! I am going home to see my family this week and originally made two for my granddaughters but then I was asked to make one for my daughter. After that my sister wanted one and told me not to forget my two nieces! Phew, just finished them in time. Now have 6 to do for friends who want them!

Every time my hubby walks in from work they have multiplied!

Found this old pattern for sock babies and thought someone might be interested. Love the pics of everyones monkeys - first time I've looked at this thread.
