all mine look funny to start off with. what i do is sew by machine the main bits - the legs, arms, tail. then i do the main body. i stuff it a bit. it does look funny at that point. then i sew on the mouth which i use the heel for. then i put on the eyes. it still looks odd!!! :P and then i stuff the body until i am happy with the shape. i like mine cuddly! then i sew on tail, arms and ears and knit the scarf/hat or make the clothes.

does anyone know of any cow print socks? just been asked to make a cow!! :P

You can get some cow socks either £2 from Dorothy Perkins (They have a purple toe and heel) or Peacocks do a pack of 3 socks for £3 with a cow print, and I think the toe/heel is pink :)

Hello just returned from a lovely 2 night stay in London with the hubby so haven't done any monkeying for a few days.

Angela72 like Nuttybabe said they can all look a bit funny intially and it takes lots of practice in the beginning to get them looking monkeyish. I use ladies socks 4-7 but I round the heads off as I prefer mine that way. I found they looked a bit long too and I then use the toe for the mouth.

Nuttybabe I use cow print socks and they have a 3 pack in peacocks and matalan. I have also bought the ones in DP and currently making up a batch of monkeys in these as most people seem to want to the cow one!!
