They normally take a while, Becuase you are contacting the actul comapany.

I have had sucess with heinz and some other companies. But i do complain. I once complented to bold and they said "thanks for using our products" lol I asked for some samples of there new fragrances. But still love them :rotfl: after all they make bold! BOLD!

Um well i have sucess with pot noodle, But that was a complaint. I got a £5 postal order and a £5 voucher. Which was nice :D Lost the postal order though :rotfl:

Thats it, i have had sucess in compalining but not in asking for free stuff!
  • Can anyone advise me on making a complaint against Tfl?

This Sat, I missed the entire England game at Twickenham because of their shortcomings; half the tube was down, etc etc. And then I missed the entire preshow act (The Coral) at Paul Weller because again, no Jubilee Line after Green Park, and the buses could not cope; had to wait 2 hours to get onto one which wasn't overpacked....anyway, they ruined my weekend.

Another thing, actually, on my way to the 02, when the Jubilee line was down, they told me to go to Stratford on the Central? line and change to the rail replacement bus but then they made ME PAY for an extension to my zones 1-2 travelcard because they were making me go to a Zone 3 station to get the bus to go back on myself into Zone 2 where I was aiming to get to in the first place.

It took 7 hours to get around London, and only 5 to get from Liverpool to London; !!!!!!!! Any help with kicking Tfl butt I'd be so grateful as I am still annoyed now!!

Could some kind person write out a standard email template so we can use please.

I think this is a bad idea; this would make it too obvious that people are just wanting freebies, rather than being genuinely interested in the product.

Just refer to things you like or dislike and explain why you're asking for a sample. Don't do it just for the sake of it!

  • Hi there

    I'm new here, first post!

I've been reading these forums for a while though. I've already e-mailed chapstick and lush and they have things in the post for me! (I didn't abuse the lush thing, i have eczema and before reading elaineys post i didn't realise that they would send free samples, i haven't used anything for years so i thought it would be nice to try again and have something that i could use once rather than buying a whole pot of something and only using it once)

I've e-mailed loads of chocolate companies, kettle chips, alcohol companies for promotional things as i'm trying to get things together for a mates 21st after easter because i'm skint (even after the loans come through, i only get enough for rent the rest i earn over summer and easter) Just wondered if any one had any ideas of any companies that would be good for this. I sit here and can't think of companies, i think a party with loads of students would be good promotion for them but loads of them haven't even bothered to e-mail back

Try and ask your local pub landlord to phone some of the reps for you and ask for some promo goodies. Or even better still ask the landlord if he could give you some names/emails/addresses?

I did this a while ago (admittedly before the recession!) and got t.shirts, keyrings, caps, bar towels, and other stuff that I cant remember!

ALso when you email drinks companies tell them that you are doing a themed party ie A Bacardi party or a Smirnoff party and tell them that you want everything decorated with there stuff so everything would be greatly received!

    GOOD LUCK !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
