I sent 34 genuine complimentary emails. From nearly most of them I had 'thank you' replies. The ones who did sent me samples was: Molton Brown-4 30ml body wash and lotion and L'Occitane-8 sachets in a nice little gift paper bag and Andrex- £3 MOC. I was really impressed with the three nice treats. A few others never replied.
I always included my address and most of the times I was not even asking for any samples, but some of them said: Go and buy and we will send you a sample. Nice!
Has anybody ever just had 'thank you' replies, but received a coupon or sample anyway?0 -

I'm an orthodontic patient, and was finding maintaining my orthodontic appliance a little tricky, so not long ago, I sent Colgate an email asking about any specific products they might recommend for me.
I never heard back by email, then, after a while I received a lovely letter from them giving me quite detailed advice and providing me with enough Colgate-Palmolive vouchers to pay for one of each of the products they had recommended!
Was very grateful and impressed, especially since I'd thought they wouldnt bother replying!0 -

Stayed in a Premier Inn afew weeks ago and the room itself was lovely, great location etc. had a good nights sleep...till I got woke up at 8:30am by pretty much constant bell ringing for 30 minutes for the Sunday service. Now I'm not one to complain but I booked this room to get away, to have a lie in and relax and the bells woke me up and put me in a bad mood. I rang reception and the time and on check out it stated the bells had woke me up. I was quite annoyed and wrote them an email about it, I was fair in stating the room was lovely, nice hotel etc but this let me down and the page itself online doesn't state these bells go off which I think it needs, I didn't expect to get any response to be fair. Anyway a week later I get a call and they apologised and refunded me my room rate as I did not get a "good nights sleep guaranteed" as it advertises so I was pleased with this.:money::rotfl::T0

I have done quite afew complaint letters. Had various vouchers, but two of my best were ferrero rocher and Disney store.
ferrero rocher:
Complained about the chocolates being squashed/damaged they sent out some more out for me, which never turned up, so they sent another load out then few days later the 1st batch turned up.
Disney Store:
Bought a £8 wreck it ralph car that you put a key in and it flips it across the room, the paint on the wheels came off with two goes so just emailed Disney store telling them wasn't happy. They were very quick to respond and asked me to sent it back for replacement. I didn't sent it back as my daughter loved playing with it so left it. Week later Disney emailed back saying they haven't received the car, I explained why, they then asked for her name so can sent some goodies out. Ended up with a £5 gift car, stickers n colour pages, but also a vanellope von schweetz 12"(ish) doll, and a vanellope bag. She was a very happy child!0 -
I look like I complain a lot....
Morrisons just before xmas I went in Stratford Upon Avon and got a panna cotta dessert for my dinner that night, which I noticed half way through eating was a day out of date! I was annoyed at this, especially bring a dairy product one can never be sure of the implications of eating out of date produce.
I emailed them online. I didn't expect a response straight away and said that it was understandable it being so near to xmas but at the same time I was disappointed. Less than a day later I got a call apologising and saying that they would send out vouchers as a way of apology. Yesterday I got x £10 vouchers:money::rotfl::T0
