  • Nobodies wrote on this in ages! But was inspired when i read it originally, Emailed a few companies, mostly mother and baby things, was really impressed with the responses I got...

Tommee tippee - full box of 50 breast pads to try
Vital Baby - breast-like bottle, weaning spoons and breast pads
NSPA - big bottle of stretch mark oil

and those are the amazing ones, a few other companies with samples, a few coupons! Now on mat leave will be re-trying this for a few more companies, defo been swayed towards vital baby and tommee tippee for purchases now!

Tommee tippee - what email address did you use? please share thnx

I wonder if they would have helped if you had waved a £10 note at them

thats disgusting, I was 27 weeks pregnant and they delivered twice to me, both times they brought the items in and offered to take them upstairs too, i'd persue that even further because that is awful

  • Hi guys :)

I'm totally new to this but fancy getting a bit more frugal and freebies defiantly come under my new no spending plan!

I have a list of a few companies I'm going to compliment, but was wondering if there's any you have used that are really good for it and if you have any email addresses I could pinch.

    Thanks in advance!

The thing is...a template letter is unlikely to work well either, mainly because once the company has seen it a few times they will stop reponding to it!

If you are going to send a compliment maybe its best that you do say what you liked about the product rather than what a generic email that someone else has produced thinks...

on the odd occaision ive sent compliments I try to relate the compliment personally to my experience of the product or the fact that the product is so much different or better than the one ive been using before.
Whilst its not everyones way of doing things,I've also found that a photo of us enjoying the product sometimes generates a much more positive response.
frugal October...£41.82 of £40 food shopping spend for the 2 of us!

    2017 toiletries challenge 179 out 145 in ...£18.64 spend

  • I emailed Vital baby asking for samples and they replied back quickly that they will send samples worth £5 if I can cover the postage cost of £4 .. have anyone paid this postage before ? Is it worth it ..
