someone at work sent an email to innocent (the smoothie company) and enquired about their new range of microwavable meals. he just said that he liked the smoothies so much and bought one every day blah blah blah yada yada yada... and would love to try the meal pot but couldn't find a retailer that sold them in our local area. He hoped that he would get a free pot sent or a voucher but to our pleasant surprise a few days later 5 boxes (4 pots in each box) turned up at the office so 20 free pots in total so worth a go I say!!

lucky them, last time i sent an email saying the same thing and they just replied with a list of retailers

  • Hello,

Acutally, now I've thought about it a bit harder, he was actually just being escorted out of the cinema by police for refusing to leave the cinema. I jumped the gun on that one, methinks! :o I doubt he was actually arrested in the end, as it takes quite a bit to get arrested these days, but there sure was a lot of commotion!

Anywho, just received two vouchers in the post from Cineworld for two large drinks and a large popcorn, one for me and OH, one for my mamma :)
Also had an email from Interflora saying they will refund 50% of my payment, due to very poor quality of flowers. All genuine complaints.

Could I just ask whether you filled in their online contact form or if you emailed a specific email address? I've complained to them before, I wrote a 2 page email and received no reply whatsoever for a genuine complaint! This was a few months ago. I now need to complain once again and I really will take things further this time, but I need to know whether they even read their emails send via the 'contact us' page.
  • Well, after looking at this thread I was actually shocked as I did this anyway! :j

Although, I was still caught up in snail mail; it didn't even occur to me to contact the companies via their websites!! :rotfl:

    So... my experience this week..

Huggies Little Swimmers: My printer is broken so asked them to post me a money off coupon which they happily did; received today :D

Krispy Kreme: I joined their 'fan club' via the website then sent an e-mail asking that they open a store in my town. Very quick response saying thank you for the suggestion. I then e-mailed back and outright asked (Nicely of course!) if they had any samples or money-off coupons that they could send. I was then recommended to join their fan club and to follow them on Facebook if I wanted to hear about special offers :o

Innocent Smoothies: I asked about giving their products to my baby as we're currently weaning her and praised their new tv ad. They sent a response more or less stating that it was my choice if I wanted to try it and if I did, to heavily dilute their smoothies. I then (Again!) politely asked outright if they could send me any samples and or money-off coupons. I've yet to hear (E-mail sent on Monday) :(

Options: I enquired about a sample of their new Chocolate Fudge Brownie Hot Chocolate. They're posting me a sample :T

Scholl: I already buy their foot scrub so asked about other products and they're sending me samples :T

Will let you know how I get on as I've both written and e-mailed other companies...

  • Hello,

I a bit of a newbie to this but have recently sent out some emails to companies praising products I use. Today I got a letter from Nivea along with some samples of their Q10 gel, Artic Ice aftershave balm, some facial scrub and another sample of an aftershave balm. I have also received samples from Molten Brown, some facial scrubs and an aftershave sample. I've also tried Gillette but not had a response yet.

    Thanks

You can also go into shops and ask for samples, i always find house of frasers and crabtree&evelyn to be the most helpful

i have wrote too a few companies asking for samples to review and try so fingers crossed

options seem to be extremely stingy with their samples ie i asked for samples on a second occasion to give to a friend and they sent back an email refusing me and saying that i had already recieved a sample from them on the date !
