  • I too am wondering about SLK. I have kept away from this post after it became a complete idiot-fest. No-one has the right to criticise SLK and her OH. They are trying the best they can. As someone with a severe disability who cannot work and who does get DLA I can say "Yes I pay for my internet because without it my children would starve when I cannot get to the shops because I am ill, I wouldn't be able to pay my bills because I could not get to a bank, I would become cut off completely from the outside world, therefore exasorbating my illness further!"

Anyway, I do hope something good is happening for SLK and she has ignored all this pettiness earlier on in the thread.

I'd like to echo what Topov and NUF have posted, I hope SLK is doing well and has sorted out her problems.

As far as the two posters who tried to disrupt/wreck her thread, I reported woodwork to the mods (I'm sure I wasn't alone in this), informing them that he was abusing a vunerable person and asking them to delete his posts on this thread. They went one further and deleted all his posts (300 of them as I recall) and deleted his username. Hopefully they also blocked his IP address.

I've been personally involved in getting two posters removed from MSE, both were extremely abusive. I'd say to everyone, a bit of banter is one thing - abuse is unacceptable and should be reported. The guys at MSE do take a dim view of the sort of abuse woodwork was dishing out, and they will do something about it. Don't be afraid to report abuse, it will be dealt with.

Hopefully SLK will see her thread 'bumped' back up and pop in and tell us how she is getting on.

  • Any news, SLK?
...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.
  • Bump - still there at all SLK?
