On A Low Income But Im Not Entitled To Any Benefits

  • OP, you must use the rate for a room in a shared house, NOT a two-bedroom house, when working out your calculation, as even if you were entitled to help with your rent, that is what it would be based on.

My son lived in a two-bed flat when he was about your age but even when he was unemployed the Housing Benefit would only pay the rent equivalent to a room in a shared house because that is what he was deemed to need. If .you have anywhere bigger, you must pay for it yourself, even if you are unemployed, because you don't NEED it, it is a choice you have made..

So based on this I don't think you will be entitled to anything on £15,000 a year, sorry.

Imagine someone holding forth on biology whose only knowledge of the subject is the Book of British Birds, and you have a rough idea of what it feels like to read Richard Dawkins on theology: Terry Eagleton

The OP would not get WTC as they are single, under 25 and earn too much.

  • Simply a matter of not understanding the system then - a misunderstanding.
