I like hearing about all the great husbands..I think they have a tougher job than they get credit for and there are some amazing ones out there.

Mine makes my day regularly by...

running a bath, usually with a bath ballistic in it, though he prefers bubble bath, and providing a bottle of wine ....we have always bathed together and its a good relaxing place to catch up with whats going on in our lives, ease the stresses and start the transition from day time to bed

foot rubs. Quite often he will come home with a nice little pot/tube of some lovely foot cream and will just pick up my feet and start massaging them. I have realy sore feet so its double bliss for me, but if my feet were fine I still think its an incredible act of love to rub someone else feet, almost biblical (although he assumes my feet don't need washing- the ancient equivalent) and also, I get a regular massage at the end of a long day, sometimes both days at the weekend! It started off as a bt of hapless rubbing (because I massage him too and he had never tried massaging anyone pre-me) but now he's excellent.

The things above are my absolute favourite but I also regularly get earings.

Also, after lots of gifts of skimpy and pretty nighties/underwear, DH once brought home a fleece tracksuit. The circumstances were special...I was ill, gainging weight and embarrassed to buy clothes but cold all the time. A gift of something so non-sexy but caring was so thought ful and loving I can remember knowing this was a guy I would want to marry.....and then I did!

You can get mobile therapists who do treatments at home which might help situation with kids.

You could take kids out and she could have some time on her own.

Always take your cue from things she mentions eg my husband will always buy the wrong ear rings or magazine!
