Does anyone other than Whiskas / Felix do a wet kitten food?My TV is broken!
Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j0 -
My cats get a bad tummy if they eat Tesco wet food, always have done, not sure what they put in it. Will try the waitrose one.
As for wet kitten food, Iams, Tesco, Science Diet, Almo Nature, TechniCal, James Welbeloved, Applaws cant think of anymore apart from the Whiskas and Felix you have mentioned.0 -

I have some kittens at the moment and have discovered Asda Tiger kitten food (cheap but they weren't keen), Sainsburys and Waitrose kitten food (cheaper than Whiskas and Felix and they liked it) and Tesco kitten food, which I have stuck with as they seem to really like it and it's £2.39 for a box of 12 sachets (plus clubcard points).

The Science Diet and the Iams ones are available in Tesco's, (but the Tesco's I use is quite a big one)0 -
Both my cats are getting on in years now at 16 and 17 years old. I've nearly always fed them on Hills Science Diet, but due to the younger one getting compacted anal gland problems on the ordinary/mature diet I've had to use the Light diet as it has a much higher fibre content than the others. A few months ago I noticed they now do a Mature/Light combo so have switched them onto that instead. They also receive a half tray/sachet of wet food (felix/whiskas - whatever is on offer at the time) each as a breakfast treat 3-4 times a week.
They've always thrived very well on this diet combo until recently when I've noticed the elder of the two has lost some weight (more noticeable since the switch to mature/light) and it's starting to concern me. It could well be age related and/or the onset of an illness/condition so I will be taking her to the vets for tests etc for this.
In the meantime I need to find a more suitable diet for her that will help to increase her weight a little as I feel she is now underweight, and then obviously to maintain it. Due to them both being free fed the dry diet from a single large bowl I also need to ensure that whatever diet I choose will be high enough in fibre to prevent the anal gland problems in the younger cat!
So, what I need to find out is the analysis data of various dry diets that some of you might already use so I can try and find one that will be suitable for both cats. Obviously if I need to start feeding them separate diets then I shall do that, although it won't be easy!
For comparison the Hills Mature/Light contains ...
Protein 31.3%
Fat 9.2%
Fibre 7.4%
Ash 5.3%
Moisture 6.0%
Calcium 0.90%
Phosphorus 0.64%
Sodium 0.28%
Potassium 0.74%
Magnesium 0.07%
plus vitamins etc.
Thanks everyone :A “You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”0 -
Hiya
Im fed up of my 2 cats being fussy eaters one week they like whiskas next its felix its costing me a fortune, i would like them to eat dry food as the sloppy food stinks and my kitchen gets lots of black flies if food being left. They also have a bowl of biscuits thats down all the time its either whiskas or go-cat so they have no problem eating biscuits.
Which dry food is the best one to get for them i called into my local pet shop yesterday and noticed science plan, pro plan, james wellbeloved, among others, Im not sure what to buy.
Can anyone give me advice on dry food.
Thanks in advance

I have tried mine on all sorts of Dry Food, TechniCal seems to be the favourite but is expensive, another favourite and if you read the ingredients it has all the same vitamins etc in it is Tesco Complete Cat Crunchies, you can get a massive bag of that for £4 and that feeds my lot (9 of them) for a week.0
