We fed our two pouches for a little while whilst they were on offer.
They loved them so much then then refused to eat the tinned stuff.
We ended up having to clean and keep the pouches and trick them by rustling the pouches so they thought they were getting them when we were really giving them tinned stuff.0 -

I don't have cat but when I was in my local farmfoods they had whiskas so if you have one it might be worth a look, but can't tell you how much as I didn't lookEveryone is entitled to their opinionEllie 25/12/070

I recently read that by far the most healthy and nutritionally balanced food for a cat is "mouse". Set up a breeding programme. It could save you a fortune in the long run....0

Can someone please explain to my cat about the rising costs of food!!! I have continually tried to put her on the asda own brand cat biscuits and she simply refuses to eat it, she will only eat whiskas!!!! I tried the she'll eat it if shes hungry route and she didn't eat it but went and caught a bird which she brought in through the window and started eating in front of the kids!!!!!!
Any advice on changing her expensive tastes????I don't get nearly enough credit for not being a violent psychopath.0 -
My cats are fussy too. I went to Wilkinsons & they have a huge bag of 'Brekkies' for about £2.39, they're a luxury form of the normal Brekkies. They last ages & the cats love em, to the point that, because it's also a complete meal, they don't often eat too much meat now.0

I can totally sympathise with you there pukkamum. Our cat will only eat "as good as it looks" felix pouches  and sometimes she even turns her nose up at that. We also have the added problem that she thinks she is a person and should therefore have person food! I keep explaining to her that she won't like noodles/pasta/lettuce/sprouts/chinese but she insists! Flippin cat! We tried her on the Netto's own biscuits once. She didn't speak to us for a week.Nemmer Nossage :rotfl: :j

All you can do is keep on giving her own brand and keep the windows shut:D
Be warned though, she'll probably get sick/ an expensive allergy or something that incurs a vet bill!
In fact it might be easier and cheaper to just give in and buy job lots of whiskas when it's on special.......
Sorry but I've never managed to downgrade my cats diet no matter what I tried:o0 -
I can usually get my cats to change brand (to stuff on special offer!) by gradually adding a bit of the new food to the regular stuff. Add a bit more each day until they have either noticed (and are on hunger strike) or they are totally on the new stuff.
Mine often prefer the new food, perhaps they get bored easily - but it can upset their tums if they switch too quickly."Cheap", "Fast", "Right" -- pick two.0 -
Hi
Has anyone got any adice regarding automatic pet food feeders ?
We're going on holiday in a few weeks and although my parents are happy to help feeding my three cats they're not so keen on 2 1/2 weeks when it involves a half hour drive there & back.
I'm wondering if an automatic feeder would be a good idea.
And recommendations ? Good place to get one ?
It would be for three cats.
Thanks0
