I thought it was only my cat which wouldn't eat food that has been left!0

Have a look at Costco if you are a member. I get 48 sachets of Felix for about £9. I know they sell Whiskas, but I'm not 100% sure they are the same price.0

 Have you actually compared the cost of the pouches to the tins??? I was giving my cat pouches until I looked at the price (compared to how much food you get in a tin - it's almost double!!!) and with the "senior" or other special ones, you get even less (can't remember if the pouches weigh less or you only get 10 in a box).
My cat is really fussy and has only ever eaten whiskas, we have to feed her little and often and she does get bored with the same flavour, so i've usually got two tins opened, and alternate the flavours (they're in the fridge covered in cling film inbetween, so they don't go off). She does eat it straight from the fridge, even though I was told they don't because it doesn't smell so nice. Sometimes, she'll go to eat it and walk away in disgust, then I sprinkle on a few biscuits and she eats the lot!!

No not a member and they don't seem to tell you the price of things on their website so I can't check. suppose I could email them....you have to pay a yearly charge as well though don't you?0 -

The price difference is shocking! Which is why I like to buy it when its on offer! I did buy some felix pouches today (2 boxes) because I emailed them asking for samples etc and I got sent 4 pounds in coupons AND some samples
:j I like my cats to have pouches though as one of mine is a bit of a lazy so and so and is a tad overweight, by giving him pouches I know EXACTLY how much he has gobbled up! I know I could open 2 tins a day but then he'll be stuck with one flavour all day.0 -
Yes, there is a charge at Costco.
I'm sure it was on offer at Morrisons, think it was Monday when I was last in there.
Have you checked on the mysupermarket site, that compares prices between Tesco/Asda/Sainsburys & Waitrose.
I used to find it was a bit cheaper at Bookers, if you know someone who has a card, or a business you can register with.Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no: 203.0 -

Well they had a foil tray each (forgot got trays and pouches) which was beef in a carrot jelly (oo-errrrr) and both seem to have eaten it, though tomorrow could be a different story! I've sent off for a free sample of the roasted stuff.0 -
Cats will eat most brands of food when they are hungry enough. Get them used to other brands too, they're just manipulating their tin-opener/pouch rippers when they both refuse anything else!:rotfl:
Our cat gets Felix or Whiskas pouches somtimes, we stockpile them when they are on special offer, as long as they are cheaper than Tesco's premium pouches, which are only £1.99 for a pack of twelve.:j A black packet with a picture of a cat's face on the side.Worth a try for about half the price of some Whiskas packs.Member of the first Mortgage Free in 3 challenge, no.19
