Hello, figured an introduction was in order, after lurking for god knows how long.
I'm smash, 21 and still living at home due to long-term illness. Due however, to my moneysaving ways, I am known as the 'old woman' of the house.
My father is still unaware that his radox bottle actually contains Tesco value bubbles. Blue, of course - for that full radox effect. :beer:0 -
Hi all
I found the OS board a while after finding MSE and have rarely ventured far from it since.
I'm a single mum of Three Darling Boys currently age 16, 12 and 7. I'm up to my eyes in debt, and keep procrastinating about getting it sorted - but doing OS things seems to be helping keep me afloat and a little more sane
I currently work as a consultant for a party plan company (ie I'm a rep - just realised it sounded a bit more than it is, lol) - when I feel like it, which doesn't seem to be often at the mo! I have to be carefull as to how much I earn as I now claim IS, so it kind of defeats the object!
Like many on here I have a fetish for stationery, lol - so at least the party plan thing allows me to pander to that.....
Come September I may be going to college to do holistic therapy as I'm very keen on these things - allready qualified in Aromatherapy massage, but feel I need to refresh.
Kaz xJanuary '06 Grocery Challenge (4th - 31st) £320.Week 1 - £73.99 Week 2 £5.10 (so far)
Someone burst my bubble and I lost the plot so no idea what I spent now...Other Jan :- Petrol £20.41, Clothes £8.50, House £3.I will try to work it out.

Hello everyone
I've been about on MSE for a few months and just found this board, and I really love it! I'm 38 (gulp) married with 2 girls aged 7 & 5. We just paid off our mortgage last month, and have bought a new house with no mortgage  . Moving day is 3 weeks off, so I should be packing boxes instead of sitting here.
I work p/t as a teacher in secondary schools, I do some Mystery Shopping and also sell cloth nappies so it keeps me busy. Anyway looking forward to getting loads of useful tips, because I'm skint now!0 -

Hi, I’m in my mid-40s and live in the flatlands of East Yorkshire. I was a SAHM for 12 years, and recently I’ve started working part time as Money Adviser at CAB. I got into MSE when I was looking for information on people’s experience of bankruptcy, but now spend most of my time on Old Style and Green and Ethical boards.
I live with hubby and DD13yo and DS11yo. We live in an old vicarage, and have a big garden, where we grow lots of fruit and veg, and keep hens. This year we had our first attempt at hatching eggs, the result being Billie and Ecochick, who are Buff Orpingtons.
We’ve been pretty much OS ever since we married – we compost, reduce water usage, do most of our cooking and baking from scratch, buy food seasonally and locally, and DH catches some of our meat! We spend loads of time out of doors, walking, cycling, camping and running.
Since discovering MSE, I’m Flyladying, Freecycle bigtime, have loads of new recipes, and am completely converted to Stardrops and Microcloths. :T :j :T
We have a plan to buy a smallholding in North Yorkshire or Cumbria, when the children leave school, and keep pigs, bees, hens, ducks, guinea fowl, quail, and a goat.

Hi, I am a 30 yr old full time family manager (stay at home mum) with 3 children 13, 7 and 5.
One of my children has a range of medical conditions which have lead to physical disablities and special needs.
I sell a few craft items, such as cards and birth samplers as well as write short stories and poems. Both of which i would love to make into a full time at home job.
I try to be as green as possible and OS often fits into that so here i am trying to get more tips.
At the moment my mine goal is trying to get us out of our huge debt so that we can have control of our lives again and build our own enviromentally friendly home.Success means having to worry about every thing in the world......EXCEPT MONEY. Johnny Cash

Hi, been lurking on this board too so just wanted to post about myself.
I'm 27 stay at home mum to 2 boys 2&4.
This board has been a blessing to my family, since last month our monthly income has dropped by £300 and we really are trying to cope with what we have.
So I am looking forward to more money saving tips and chat and making some new friends.

Hi all, I've posted here but not introduced myself (how rude) so here it is.
I'm 27 married (for 2 years) and we're currently trying for kids.
We both work full time although DH will become a SAHD when the kids do arrive. Although we have a good wage I want to go OS for the green and healthy side, although the extra cash it will hopefully save will help towards the baby which is definately not going to be cheap.
I've learnt so much from MSE so far and can't wait to get OSing properly when I have finally learnt to cook - did my very first meal tonight.0
