  • If this thread is only for the misprices, then is there another thread for discussions around misprices/policy?? Its just that I find some of the discussion posts really quite helpful!

hopefully some of the clutter of discussion could go here. Leaving misprices to be posted on here.

All calendars were marked at 50% off on SEL today, I got Simpsons which scanned at full price £5,so I duly took it to CS who very kindly & unprompted gave me full refund of £5 explaining it was DTD. :j

en you take the damaged ones back, get a full refund for both plus a replacement for both (while keeping the undamaged box IYSWIM).

Sorry for being a complete thicky but what does IYSWIM stand for?

Ok having just wasted 20 minues of my life trawling through the 95 posts in the above thread, let me summarise as what is actually is a potentially good DTD chance...

In tesco this morning we spotted a deal - any of their 'finest' meals for 2, with a side dish and a pudding, and 'any bottle of wine' (exact wording) for 9 pounds.

Obviously there are meant to be some restrictions on this, but the sign is quite clear - any bottle.

Having said that, we tried to go through the till with a 15 pound bottle and, predictably, the lady said no. She let us have a 5pound bottle but insisted there were rules on what you were allowed, she just wan't totally sure what they were.

If anyone's better at kicking up a fuss than I am (I always get embaressed) I reckon you could really push it. The sign definately said any bottle, and there wasn't any small print.

Let me know how you get on!

(Apologies if this has been posted before somewhere, but I did a search and couldn't see it)

Then a Scottish large superstore control manager chips in

As a Tesco manager I relish you coming into my store. It would give me some entertainment for the day.

We did have one sensible post...

I asked to see manager when £14.99 bottle refused. 20 mins later he arived and said just put it through!

Not actually worth the 20 min wait!!!

But £14.99 wine all mine now :)

But the other 90-odd posts consisted of sparring between CG19a and the rest of the "friendly community".

Overall watch for the signs "any of their 'finest' meals for 2, with a side dish and a pudding, and 'any bottle of wine' for 9 pounds" and remember if you bill is over £9, then ask for your DTD
I miss too many pages due to work so if you need an answer from me, please send me a PM.
