Was in the eletrical department at our store (Sandhurst) and noticed that all the Satnav deals they had were due to expire on 24th December, however they all seem to scan at the offer price still. Anyone know if these offers are due to expire? The Satnavs are usually unattended so I'm not sure if the SELs will be changed in the near future!0

The Extra - where we both went at the weekend! - is hot on prices (sometimes) but the local store is not usually so quick to change their SELS so keep your eyes peeled, COUPON GIRL.
But our local (which shall remain nameless of course) like to deny the policy/call a Manager/lie about the policy stated on the blue board behind them & make you call Dundee even for a £2 DTD! So it's less fun in there to claim a DTD than it should be. :mad:PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

If I buy something that is reduced (short dated) and the scanner picks up the full price bar code by mistake is this a DTD?
I bought a couple of things and thats what happened, I was over charged by £4 odds. I was refunded the overcharge but when I asked if it was DTD, I was told no, as its operator error?
I never argued as I have only recently managed to walk around that particular store without being followed... after all my R&R successes:D
I just wondered about the DTD thing, for future referencepinkpinkfizz

Yes you should have got DTD.
I have been given DTD a few times when reduced items have scanned at the full price as the barcodes havent been completely covered.

Not a huge one, but in my local Tesco (Addlestone) they had an SEL showing £2 off 2 packs of fresh chicken breasts (£11.49 from £13.49/kg), and similar savings off 4 packs.
Sadly Willow Farm forgot to provide Tesco with reduced priced stock so all chicken breasts were showing full price for all Use By dates.
Quick visit of CS, and after much jabbing at the calculator gave up and offered me £2 back (from a pack that cost £3.20). When I mentioned DD he doubled it to £4. So free chicken breasts and some spare change in my pocket - took me back to the old days of free meat every week courtesy of R&R.
