silly question but does DTD apply in tesco express too
january NSD 1/200 -
Just got a decent DTD this morning!
Noticed that the BT VERVE 450 was half price that expired yesterday on the yellow sticker. So should have been £59 but scanned through at the full £119.95.
Got double the difference so in total, a £119.95 phone set cost £0! Happy Days!
(These: http://direct.tesco.com/q/R.204-7400.aspx )
SEL now rectified in Hedge End, Southampton.0 -
Yes it does but I have never had one in an Express, prefer the larger stores that stock electricals. Should be a notice by the tills or kiosk.0

Spiritseeker wrote: »Hi all,
I'm just wondering if someone could point me to where the Tesco official policy is written up online? After much searching I cannot find their official policy online to explain the DTD policy etc. I would like to have it to back myself up if I ever try to claim something, as I would feel a bit uncertain that I was in the right!
Also, when there is the situation that a SEL says there was an offer that expired, how can you argue that you have been overcharged when the offer has clearly already expired? Is it simply a case of saying to customer services: "The price on the SEL is the only price displayed, and therefore it should be what I pay even though it clearly states that the price on the label has expired?"I would feel a bit uncertain about standing my ground as it clearly should not be the lower price anymore!
And finally, when there is a SEL price that differs to the price on the actual item yet you get charged the higher price, how can you really argue that you've been overcharged?
Maybe I just need to be a little bit more insistent, I just would feel as though I were playing the conman!
Any advice would be appreciated, I would love to pick up some of the items with a great DTD back, just need a little coaxing into the 'complaining customer' mode!
Thanks
According to leadhead (i believe)
Tesco policy is..........."We have no policy"
and where you find something that "looks like a policy"........it doesnt often refer to "that" store0 -

Lol, doesn't stop us trying though. Lovely to see some DTD which come out with the same result as RnR. Was a joy to get the printer this week without any fuss at all did not even have to remind cs of policy.
I am hoping to find the others listed recently and shall try out my local store - havent had any good ones there for awhile.0 -
im going to head up tonight to look for these phones.
can someone uickly tell me what im looking for. you say yellow sels im guessing this is a yellow offer label and somewhere on it int he tiniest writing will be the date???0 -
thanks to the OP who posted about the DTD on the printers - went into my Tesco today and got a different one: Lexmark X3650 SEL £39.98 charged £79.97 so DTD:D but even better that they refunded me the £79.97 without taking the VAT off so they actually paid ME a little bit to take it away!!0

yeah just tried the copdock store and no luck for the phones all had new sels. wish i had gone over this morning before work, they seem to be pretty on top of things in this store.
i did find a logitech media 600 keyboard with expired sel scanned at 16.97 on self scan but the ticket said 9.97. so with dtd would work out 2.97 for 16.97 keyboard but dont need one.0 -
