Nice spot would only be DTD if the item scanned at higher than the £6 SEL. However good buy even if scanned at £6 (if you liked Ftaher Ted!!). If it scans at £16.96 entitled to £10.96 DTD so £21.92 refund for £16.97 outlay.

So would be about £5 up with free DVD!! (ask for price check)

    I know, that's why I'm sharing it.

If the Father Ted dvd scanned at the web price of £16.97, the overcharge would be £10.97, double that would be £21.94, less the puchase price of £16.97, would leave you quids in, with a £4.97 profit and the dvd for free.

Still nowhere near as good as the old R&R days though

    Happy Hunting. ;)
  • Visited Mr T's today and picked up 6 lamb joints at £1.87 and 14 of the Bacofoil bags at 1p!!

    Cheers for pointing these out.

Still have rakes of the lamb left in their freezers, so am going back for more tonight!!:D :D

Just taken out of freezer and these are the details:
Its in one of those plastic type box things that the meat comes in.
Fresh 'British Pork' belly joint with sage & onion stuffing.
Display untill 09/12/08 use by 10/12/08 price per lb £2.72 per kg £5.99.
    Pack price £5.86.
    Bar code: 0249280005361
The guy was baffled by DTD hence the £11.12 refund.
There was plenty on the shelf when I left and he hadn't removed the yellow SEL, so might be worth looking out for.

I'd check that the Pork doesn't come from the Northern Ireland part of Britain!

If it aint specific, take it back for a full refund, just in case.

Was in a branch of Subway last night and saw them throwing loads of meat in the bin, incase it came from Ireland.

They are frozen Half Legs of Lamb.
Packed by Penny Bank Farm. £1.87/joint.
They are mixed in the freezers with very similar packaged Tesco ones.

Great -thanks -- so is this a misprice, or just v. cheap?
  • Very cheap compared to the Tesco price of £4.99 for the same product:T

There was no SEL for the Penny Bank jobbies, so only the clued up people know!!:D

.....Would they ban you for constantly buying these things and then claiming the DTD? I'm just worried that I'd feel a bit conscious about doing this. THank you.

They'd have to know this....my approach to avoid Mr T knowing my movements is always to use cash and avoid using the clubcard.

I guess you could add spread it around and abuse many different stores and not just the one, too.
