  • Yesterday 1/2 legs of fresh British lamb ,dated 13 dec ,pack price £5.99 kg SEL £3.32 kg save £2.67 kg. Took 3 to self-service till to check if they were going through at full price. CS just back from staff Christmas party had no idea how to work out the refund so after consultation with an elf (fancy dress ) ! decided to give me 2 packs free. Had 1 tonight and can confirm it is excellent lamb !

    My wife bought some kiddies jewelry yesterday in the clothes section which were all marked up half price. 2 bangles were purchased and they went through as full price. CS gave me back £2.92 which was DTD. Hurrah! Original price £1.50 (pre VAT change) money back = 2 x (£0.73 + £0.73)
    If at first you don't succeed, try, try, try - oh bu99er that just cheat :D

    LAMB IS SCANNING AT £3.75 NOW!
    Yes I found this too. Still got one though as it is not a bad price and it was a large piece. It was the Pennybank one.
    3 kids(DS1 6 Nov, DS2 8 Feb, DS3 24 Dec) a hubby and two cats - I love to save every penny I can!

    Went to Hereford and Carmarthan Stores both had Lamb priced at £5.99 and offer price of £3.32. Got DTD so half leg for £4ish

    Also had 2 belly pork joints stuffed with sage and onion on an old sel offer 1/3 off expired end of nov. CS girl said she was going to have a word with the meat boys again as this had been left for so long. I will go to carmarthan again as it seems there are no mse followers visiting.

    Spotted packs of 2 lamb loin chops with offer on SEL of £13.98/kg reduced to £9.98/kg, but packs priced at higher price. Would have made a nice DTD but was in a bit of a hurry to pick up kids from school and couldn't risk the CS desk ritual!

    From main board;

    my first posting , welsh leg of lamb at tesco (swansea) is priced on shelf edge label at £5.32 per kilo, on the actual packs on display the price is £7.99 per kilo, have just bought a whole leg and a half a leg of lamb , charged £27.30 in total, took this to CS and after some wrangling with various !!! managers and the duty manager it was agreed that this was a big missprice, ended up paying £7.60 for 1&1/2 legs of welsh lamb , going to try another store on saturday, great for christmas:j

    the sel clearly stated £5.32, the lamb in it's plastic casing clearly states £7.99, overpriced by £2.67 per kilo DTD £5.34 per kilo this worked out to be almost 75% off their retail price, it looks like the packaging company had the wrong information as one of the managers used a self scan on the leg of lamb and agreed their pricing of £5.32 was correct but the lamb on the packaging was wrongly priced at an inflated amount, no problem with having DTD back, hope this helps
