  • Can someone tell me what tescos policy is on overcharging as I'm just about to head out the door to tescos as overcharged yesterday on bottle of wine. thanks

    Surely you'll spend more on petrol getting there than the discount's worth?

    TOP MONEYSAVING TIP

    Make your own Pot Noodles using a flower pot, sawdust and some old shoe laces. Pour in boiling water, stir then allow to stand for two minutes before taking one mouthful, and throwing away. Just like the real thing!

    Late last night whole lamb shoulders sel £.37kg pack 4.98kg. The CS lady tried to tell me that I had actually got a lot more lamb for my money as I had 4.98lbs not 3.37lbs that the shelf ticket said:rolleyes: . It took half an hour to make her see that the ticket was PRICE not WEIGHT. She got a whole leg and said see this is 7.99lbs on the ticket and I said, no that says £7.99 per kilo on the sel and LOOK it matches the price per kilo on the lamb ticket:o . To which she replied these come in from outside we dont make them here:eek:. By this time NannaC was losing the will to live and nearly told her to keep the lamb as it was fast going out of date and just give me a refund, but I then remembered the good old r&r days [once more unto the breach dear friends]. She then went for assistance [2 further cashiers] who between them decided that the ticket was indeed wrong :T cue CS with but we dont make them here. After approx 40mins they finally worked out that I HAD been overcharged and yes I was due a refund. Funny but have gone right off roast lamb somehow:D

    Just back from weston-s-mare Tesco

    The tubes of xmas nibbles - twiglets, footballs and cheeslets etc are on BOGOF. £2.49 each. SEL is correct.

    Bought 2 tubes of cheeselets and BOGOF not applied.

    CS wrote 2 numbers on the top of my receipt.
    5000137995954 - she crossed through this - this is the ones I have
    5000137805955

    She said it must be a new batch

    DD £4.98 without asking.

    Also there are still the glass salt and pepper pots still on £5 BOGOF that I reported on the last page. Not sure if this is still working as a freebie but if you are in Weston they are in the household bits on the right as you got into the store up past the magazines.

    I don't know any more details as it wasnt my spot;

    I went in today as normally would on a Friday and was delighted cos the stainless steel pedal bin my daughter has wanted for a while was reduced to £10, which was less than 50% of previous price.

    Then as a bonus it scanned at £14.97 and I got a £9.94 refund so bin only cost £5.03.
