Does DTD apply to reduction items with yellow sticker? I bought a lot of reduced items on Saturday but the till staff had scanned the original barcode on the package instead of the barcode on yellow sticker. I then went to CS for a refund but CS has told me DTD don't apply to this kind of reduction item.
I asked if she was sure because the poster behind her clearly said otherwise to me, but she insist she's been working the for X years and she is sure that's their policy.0 -
The "Our Promise" board clearly states if you are charged more than the price on the item (so in your case the reduced sticker) then DTD applies. I believe you should have been given a DTD. If this happens again ask the CS SA to phone head office for clarification and im sure they would instruct her to pay DTD0

I got DTD on yellow stickered reduced items recently. I've since noticed that these items usually have the yellow sticker over the original barcode so that mistakes can't happen ie so that there's only one barcode to scan.0

I got DTD on Friday night for an item with a yellow reduced label that was charged at full price. Took a bit of arguing but their policy on the wall clearly states that DTD is for the SEL and the price on the item - seems pretty cut & dry to me!Baby Boy arrived March 25th 2010 - 17 days late & 8lb 10oz :j0

Usually the reduced price yellow lable will be stuck over the normal bar code and therefore cannot be mis-scanned at the full price. However sometimes it is stuck in the wrong place and the normal bar code is scanned and you get charged the full price. Yes you are entitled to DTD.
However i believe there are notices that say that reduced items are excluded in the multibuys (3 for 2 and the like) so DTD would not apply, but reduced items usually work out cheaper than multibuys.
Now you can be canny and if you find a product with a mis-sligned reduced SEL (ie normal bar code displayed) you could chance it that the till operator does not spot it and scans the wrong bar code - viola #DTD. However, if you scan the wrong bar code on a self scan till they may an argument against you saying you deliberately scanned the normal bar code in an attempt to get DTDI miss too many pages due to work so if you need an answer from me, please send me a PM.

I know this is not the discussion forum for misprices but the chat is going that way. so if I self scan do CS know the difference from beiag scanned by a till operator. Please don't critasize my spelling0 -

Another 1p bargain - Reusable Cookaliner - Bar Code 50600080674237 in a green cardboard packet. These are great for lining baking trays, grill pans and even for catching the spills at the bottom of the oven! I think the SEL said £2.49, but they are going through at a penny! (The toastabags in the same range are going through at normal price.)
Just got reusable cookaliner and bacofoil foil cooking bags for 1p each :j0
