Tesco misprices thread 8 - please only post misprices here

This will not work at Tesco in Blackpool as the staff were dealing with it (Taking of the £80 ticket) while we were there.
If you have a toy Dept in your Tesco it's worth a look to see if they are still priced at £80. But be quick as I am sure it'll be corrected in all the stores soon.
As most of you will know Tesco have a policy on overcharging: If they inadvertently overcharge you they will refund you double the amount of the overcharge.
I bought a kids Hotwheels 16" bike today at Tesco Blackpool, display said £80. It scanned at £80.I paid £77 as I used the NOTW £3 off £30 voucher.
They have an offer in there at the moment for all kids bikes half price. So I walked all of thirty feet from the checkout to the customer services desk and explained that I had been overcharged.
After much fussing and fannying about and calling managers, etc. they agreed that we had been overcharged and offered to refund the £40 that I'd been overcharged. At this point I kindly reminded them of the overcharge policy, so they had no choice but to refund £80.
So lets go through this again:
Bike= £80
Less £3 voucher= £77
Refund from supermarket= £80
So they actually paid me £3 to take the bike away!
And top it all they also gave me a ticket to get 5p off per litre of fuel in the petrol station & the till spat out another £3 off £30 voucher!!!!0 -

2 pack of unsmoked bacon is currently on offer at tesco for £2.... approx 16 rashers....
till scans at £2.59 = £1.18 back on dtd and means you pay around 70p per pack... = less than our wholesale price and very very cheapHating Hastings Direct!0 -

Great spot chazzy2008. Remember many SEL are finishing on 18/11 so a good time to shop next day!!
Can Mr T. not just argue that the SEL is invalid if it states that the offer ends by a certain date, even if the SEL is still displayed after that?
Don't want to get bamboozled by a clued-up SA!Learning to live with an IVA - no overdraft - no credit cards - no safety net - very very scary _pale_ All advice gratefully received! :A0 -
whats the overcharge policy????
i dont get it...sorry
i believe it is double the difference, or it used to be when i worked there, many moons ago, HTH Dave
Edit: like in the op`s case, the bike she paid for should have been £40 as sel price said £80, and there was a half price promotion on(i am assuming the sel should have said £160), but they charged her £80, so they refund double the differenc, in this case the difference being £40 they got £80 back, in effect getting the bike for free, which reminds me, when i used to work there, i spent £96, gave the cashier £100, and she gave me back £96:jTake every day as it comes!!0 -

I don't even need to buy a bike.
But hats off to the OP for that one!
