Noticed there were lots of SELs ending 11/11 when I shopped yesterday, so a good opportunity awaits...
P.S. The SEL for the 1/2 price slow cooker had a rather ambiguous date on tho' in fact it wasn't a date at all. Any ideas when that finishes?
Could be reduced or discontinued line so looks like an offer SEL but infact just a reduction until all items are sold0 -
i just got an email from Tesco Direct to say a christmas tree is back in stock etc.
the GF was in the store on Tues looking at tree's and phoned me to say they have this and that i said i would look online at them so i could see what she was talking about so i could see if i liked it...
on the site it was 7.50 (but all tree's were out of stock) in the store it was 15quid. i said wait we'll and get it online and i rang tesco direct to check if they were coming back in or if they had all been put on the site but hadn't recieved the stock, thats right he said we aint had them all delivered yet might be 1 to 2 weeks. went back to the site to tick the "email me when back in stock box"
just got an email there to say its in stock so thought will get it now before they sell em at 50% off etc, the same thing is now £17.50... orig price state's 30 and says HALF PRICE On All Christmas Trees And Lights T&C Previous price charged between 30/10/08 to 09/11/08
so i looked on the 11th... am i screwed or are tesco at fault... sadly i have deleted my history so have no proof...
i just think its abit wrong, you see the advert they don't have any and when they do they have jacked the price up so your paying the same, i know they do this all the time but when its a day apart its abit rough. saw the ad on monday
sorry to rant....

Welcome to the world of Tesco...:rotfl:I love a nice juicy "kebab"...0 -
last night at Kingston park I saw an ood label for the cream and brown faux fur cushions saying £6..ends 11/11, sel said £10. I picked up 4 and they went through as £10. Got DTD back after a huge argument with the SA on non food, she tried to tell me that I had the wrong cushions despite the label being above a display of about 50 cushions ..all the same and no others nearby. She said it only applied to "animal!" cushions???? whatever they are. Anyway I got £32 back ..she tried to give me £20 at first?? she wanted my name and address as well...as if!!0

Can I just ask, are you obliged to give your name and address?0 -

I've noticed a lot of stores asking for my name and address now if I return something. Sometimes you can scribble something on a form or receipt but sometimes they make you call out your details while they type it in. Would love to know if I can refuse. Think Tesco's do this in a sneaky way as when they gave me a DTD refund the other day, they were anxious to write down the receipt number. Maybe I'm wrong but I'm assuming they were looking for Clubcard info?0 -
I was asked for my name and address once too, I was stunned but so was the assistant when I said 'ok, but I'll do it on a form which includes details of the data protection act' LOL, she crumpled up the bit of till reciept she had been planning to use and didnt mention it againskint but in luv :kisses2:0

Put it this way.....she'll have trouble tracing me from the address I gave her...LOL0

I do the same! different matter if they are typing it in though and there's a queue behind you listening. Think I'll be ready next time and ask about their DPA policy - thanks for the tip Donna!0
