  • The tree I bought was £60 online yesterday.

Today instore it is 50% off therefore £30

Online it shows as being reduced from £30 instead of £60 with a further 50% discount making it £15.

They have applied the 50% discount twice.

I understand that unless you were following the items, it is hard to understand, since the discount shows as 50%, but believe me it is 75%. Try and buy instore and you will soon see the £ difference

On offer at £9 if you spend more than £30 in store but today I spent £54 in the Longton store and the discount didn't work so charged £14 but given £10 DTD and C/S lady I was the 5th person today so obviously a a problem with the till. £4 pressie. Wish I'd bought two :T

Same happened for me and I got a refund of £10. Another pressie bought. The CS lady said it had happened earlier in the day too. It's the DVD of the week (Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, 2 disk special edition). Look at the bottom of the brown sign at the top of the DVD display for
    the offer details.

Someone in the queue in front of me had one of these and the till op had to manually enter the reduction, so I think it must flash up a message to ask if you'd spent enough as it goes through, so if the till op messes up, you're in.
Does that mean that if the DVD is the first item scanned, the cashier won't know if you've spent over £30 and may miss the manual reduction?

Or does the till prompt the cashier at the end of the sale?

Instore is the only place you can buy now. On website, 3 pages of trees, all out of stock and 4 pages of lights with all but 1 line out of stock.
Surely a company that big should have stock.
Another Tesco offer own goal or just a ploy to get you to buy other goods?

I'm not sure but thinking about it, after everything was rung through, the SA spent ages examining my receipt while waiting for me to get out my credit card. Didn't say anything to me though.
