Do these finish at 23:59 on the 28th or finish at 00:00 on the 28th meaning i go today and any OOD SEL is fair game,, or do i go tomoz?

SEL stands for Shelf Edge Label. That is the label on the shelf edge displaying the price of the item

DTD stands for Double The Difference

R&R stands for Refund & Retain, where you get a refund and retain the item. (this was Tesco's old policy, which was replaced by DTD)
BOGOF stands for Buy One Get One Free

DTD - if lets say a box of chocolates is marked on the shelf at £2 but when you pay through the till you were charged £3 lets say, then you were clearly overcharged by £1. After you have payed, you go to the Customer Services desk and say that you were overcharged for the box of chocolates by £1. DTD means they should give you 2x £1= £2. Sometimes some of the staff can be funny about it and make millions of excuses, but a lot of them are fine as well. If they say they can only refund you £1 you can point them to the big blue board usually behind them stating that if you were overcharged, the will refund you twice the difference.
An overcharge can also be when you buy a BOGOF offer lets say your box of chocolates where you buy one and get one free for a total of £2. If the offer does not kick in and in effect you are charged for both boxes a total of £4, that is an overcharge so you should get 2x £2=£4 back.
    Hope this helps

  • do the prices update themselves from head office even if the shelf price is still there laptops today 349 but has run out will i get charged 449 as this is the price after the "sale"
  • do the prices update themselves from head office even if the shelf price is still there laptops today 349 but has run out will i get charged 449 as this is the price after the "sale"

Be careful with stuff like that, they often extend the offer, or supercede the offer with an even lower price.
  • can i then take them back for full refund? how do i know i will get charged the more expensive price?

Back in the good old days a quick shifty under the self scanner would do the trick.

Used to be a list somewhere of most self scan machine locations, nationwide !:rotfl:

Jeez I miss R&R, used to be so much fun. Can't get into DTD..of course being banned doesn't help. :D
Back to square one, no apg, no comment.

Do they update from head office? so on the end offer date they auto update to higher price, and then it is just upto the store to be on the case and change every item that is not on offer anymore ??

my store has a price scanner, so i can just scan things and check them, is this the best way to do it?

    Thanks
