Whoop whoop!! Best DTD I have ever had.

Went in to tesco in Hatfield after going to carboot and my oh wanted to look at the. There was some on offer so we got one bottle @ £21.98 for an xmas prezzie. Then he saw a bottle of 18yo Talisker @ 22.98. I haven't got a clue about whiskey but oh said it was a very good price and was getting it for himself. At check out it scanned for £45.98!!! kept stum and went to customer service desk after. She checked the label on the shelf which said "Talisker and the size of bottle" but no year. 22.98 was actually meant to be for the 10yo bottle. Double the difference = £46 back on my card!!!!!! my oh was very pleased. We then went for dinner at pizza express taking advantage of the last day of bogof! YAY
Nice spot! Be nice if they accomodate me with a good brandy misprice between now and Christmas let me know if you spot one, although most of their stores only do the basics when it comes to brandy a few have been known to carry quality kit.

A jolly good hello to you too Dude still keeping up the good work I see.

Just back from Tesco where they had an offer for Old El Paso Fajita Dinner Kits. The offer is buy 2 for £3 for the Roasted Tomato & Pepper one but the shelf label doesn't specify the flavour.

I bought 1 Tomato & Pepper pack and 3 Original Smoky BBQ packs. When I checked my receipt I had been charged £11.88 for 4 packs so I went to CS and said, "they're on offer, I've been overcharged".

It was a bit of a (friendly) battle but they relented in the end as the shelf label didn't specify the flavour on offer. They refunded me (and doubled the difference after I asked for it) so I spent £11.88 and had £11.76 refunded. Not at all bad - thanks Mr T

The CS woman had taken the offer label away when she realised, but they may still have the labels in other stores. HTH
There is no excuse for rudeness. Ignorance on the other hand is excusable – you don’t know what you’re talking about.

Was that this AM as the offer ended 21/10/2008, im guessing it ended at 23:59 and not at 00:00 as i was in there at lunch time today but the whole section was transformed into something else and the george foremans are no were to be seen,

I was in yesterday and there were about 20 units, this new store seems to be on the ball as they opened a till for me as i approached the tills

    Was hoping for this DTD

  • It was about 8:30 am! I went past it once but there was a whole load of staff near it and it is too near the self scan to risk it like that. Went past it on my way to pay and, to my amazement, it was still there! Mind you, the barkers were taken off there pretty quick!

Jane Lackford you are a star:T . I visted extra store today and to my surprise the SEL for the Grill was £29.97 as you stated. Purchased two at £59.97 and got ( after needing manager approval over the phone) £120 DTD.

So have two Grills - not golden DTD though as till receipt marked. The lady asked if I was a professional? I asked what she ment and she said some people come in looking for misprices- really I said that is terrible not me just wanted two grills for mother and partner!! She said in that case well done you have two free grills. She said manager not happy but not her problem as she does not do the SELs just works on the till!!

Thanks again a very worth while trip

Twinings Classics Teabags, packs of 50 on a 2 for £2.00 offer.

I bought a pack of Assam (£1.93) and a pack of Traditional Afternoon (£1.99), but the till only deducted £1.42, meaning I was overcharged by 50p.

Obviously I don't know if it is only this combination that results in an overcharge or how long they will take to fix it.

Glad to help. I was thinking about getting two but the person I mostly see was on the CS desk and the electrical one was closed. Still, quite happy with my grill - will be trying it out soon!
