Is the Price Promise available anywhere on line? I looked but could not find it.0
-
When I worked at Sainsbury's, I was told that we had until 10am to make sure prices displayed were good. If we overcharged anyone we were risking a Trading Standards (I think) fine for EACH item on display that was the wrong price. To make it clear, if say we overcharged for a packet of biscuits and there were 50 packets of that on the shelf, we could be fined 50 times the fine imposed.
Don't really know if this was training lore or fact. Anyone shed any light on this?
Really, if Tesco gives you double the difference and get stroppy about it, just remind them what the alternative could mean to them!

No problemo.
Tesco have never offered any kind of on-line R&R or DTD.
However if you do have an on-line shopping problem a quick e-mail to terry leahy will result in some form of action - depending on what you are looking for.
Recently tesco on-line delivered me a mouldy spud - I knew that customer services would just give me a refund - Sir Terry gave me £10 - nice man.

Whoop whoop!! Best DTD I have ever had.
Went in to tesco in Hatfield after going to carboot and my oh wanted to look at the. There was some on offer so we got one bottle @ £21.98 for an xmas prezzie. Then he saw a bottle of 18yo Talisker @ 22.98. I haven't got a clue about whiskey but oh said it was a very good price and was getting it for himself. At check out it scanned for £45.98!!! kept stum and went to customer service desk after. She checked the label on the shelf which said "Talisker and the size of bottle" but no year. 22.98 was actually meant to be for the 10yo bottle. Double the difference = £46 back on my card!!!!!! my oh was very pleased. We then went for dinner at pizza express taking advantage of the last day of bogof! YAYRecently married and loving it x0 -
