Tesco Value Baked Beans in Tomato Sauce. White SEL for 29p per can, Large A4 barker on stacks saying 18p, scanned at 29p. 22p DTD per can back without a problem and a lovely smile from CS!
So just 7p per tin and they taste just as good as Heinz!!!I miss too many pages due to work so if you need an answer from me, please send me a PM.

Only a small one but my first DTD
Cravendale large semi-skimmed (2 litre i think) in my local tesco express (Moreton) scanned at £1.73 SEL £1.62 so DTD of 22p (after being offered 11p).
Strange thing though, they insisted on keeping the receipt?
They have no legal right to retain YOUR receipt. If they want they can take a photocopy of it, but that receipt is your proof of purchase.I miss too many pages due to work so if you need an answer from me, please send me a PM.

Sorry, Tesco terminology used. A barker is a label for the shelf edge that is bigger than the normal SEL. You can get small barkers - about 10x5cm, large barkers - about 20x10cm and A4 barkers - you guessed it, the size of an A4 sheet.
They are often, but not always, yellow and may contain more information about the offer.
Typical info on barkers will be like where there is a BOGOF on a range and the range is listed.
The word barker means, amongst other things, "One who stands at the doors of shops to urg passers by to make purchases." so in Tesco's situation the label draws your attention.I miss too many pages due to work so if you need an answer from me, please send me a PM.

Tesco 500g Organic granulated sugar. Marked as discontinued 56p but charged pre-reduction £1.01. Cust service not happy about giving DTD, saying, "That's only if you've left the store and come back again"! Is this a new excuse? She did pay eventually, but obviously wasn't happy.
Quite handy - at our store it is easiest to leave the store first then go back in to the CS desk! What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -
Good Earth Organic White Tea, 18 Tea Bags - Shelf Barker (expiry date 14/10/08) = £1.00, charged £1.89. DTD of £1.78 = posh tea bags for 11p

I went to Tesco's on Monday 13 Oct and noticed they were selling a net of 12 Baby Bels for 88p - Tesco usual price is £1.66 and Sainsbury's £2.17. I am sure this is a mistake as there was nothing to indicate it was a special offer, and it's unlikely there would be such a good special offer. As I filled my trolley (the good thing is that Baby Bel's use by dates can be as long as 6 months), I did point it out to a Tesco girl who was working nearby but she didn't seem that bothered! So get some for the kids lunch boxes and maybe for that Xmas cheese board?0

Hi,,
Popped into my local tesco store today and i thought i would try something different at 59p,, profi baked bean with pork sausages soup,, it is scanning at 5p. ( I bought another after to check lol). The pea one scans at 59p.
These were in boxes on the end of an isle near the fridges bit.

I seen today, George Foreman Grilles at Half Price £29.99, usually £59.98, but says offer ends 20/10/2008 in very small writing, if these signs are still up on the 21st, does this mean i can buy one, probilly pay full price at till then get DTD back on enquiring at CS,
Only mention as i found loads off out of date offers around this store, a very new store, hardly been open 2 months now,
Cheers but sorry for not an actual saver but heads up:T
