I seen today, George Foreman Grilles at Half Price £29.99, usually £59.98, but says offer ends 20/10/2008 in very small writing, if these signs are still up on the 21st, does this mean i can buy one, probilly pay full price at till then get DTD back on enquiring at CS,

Only mention as i found loads off out of date offers around this store, a very new store, hardly been open 2 months now,

Cheers but sorry for not an actual saver but heads up :) :T

Are the price checking machines still working? ( prob not as it been open 2 months  )
Some offers get extended and they dont update the Sels straight away but you could always return it if it does scan low or say you forgot your debit card when it comes to paying.

In theory, yes, it does mean you should be on to a winner.
However i've found Tesco have been extending their offers recently and not bothering to change the POS.
So you best be ready to have forgotten your wallet when you get to the till.

Yes i checked an item on the scanner tonight, so i should use this to check items after SEL special offers have ran out.

If the price actually reverts back on the 21st, then yes. However, it's not unusual for electrical item offers to be extended or stay at that price on a white SEL, rather than the yellow offer SEL's.

You may not be aware of this, but Tesco HO are known to read this thread, so given that you've stated your location and details about the store, it wouldn't take the greatest of minds at HO to work out where you are and call the store to sort out its PI (the bit responsible for correct prices. No, really, they *do* have a Head of PI, honest), so you (and others) should bear that in mind when posting specific details.

The CS assistant SHOULD swipe your clubcard, but usually do not bother. If they do swipe the card, then points will be deducted. If they do not then you keep them. Some people buy expensive things then return them just to keep the clubcard points. I do not think that is the way to run the system - look at what happened to R&R with the XBOX fiasco when people were getting 3 Xboxes for nothing because they were charged 3p more than advertised. (~~reminisces!!~~)

A lot of people on this forum say never give your clubcard and pay with cash, especially on big DTD's as there is no trail leading to you, but remember you are not doing anything illegal so i always use it. I still go to the store I worked in and still talk to the CS staff that were there. They do not have a problem with doing DTD's without pointing out the board so I guess i am lucky!!!
I miss too many pages due to work so if you need an answer from me, please send me a PM.

    I've been Money Tipped!
    Garlic???? BREAD???????

    Large 50p SELs, charged 65p.

Mine were in a special promo fridge with half price pizzas near the fish counter, not in the normal ready meals aisle.

CS didn't even go and check the label. She'd seen the SEL herself on a previous trip round the store and was not impressed that they were overcharging on it...CS being cross at a misprice is just unheard of!
