ON THAT SUBJECT ...
How many MSE members does it take to CHANGE A LIGHT BULB ?
1 to change the light bulb and to open a thread detailing the replacement.
14 to share similar experiences of changing light bulbs and how the process could have been performed differently.
7 to post tales of caution, warning of the dangers of changing light bulbs
7 to point out the spelling errors and poor grammar used in several of the posts about changing light bulbs
5 to flame those that criticized the poor spelling using even worse grammar themselves
3 to correct spelling and grammar flames
6 to argue over whether it's "lightbulb" or "light bulb"
6 to condemn the previous 6 as stupid idiots
2 lighting industry professionals to inform the group that the proper term is "lamp"
15 know-it-alls who claim they were in the industry, and that "light bulb" is perfectly correct
19 to post that is NOT the correct place for a chat about light bulbs and to please take this discussion to a lightbulb forum.
11 to defend the discussion taking place here, saying that we all use light bulbs and therefore the posts are relevant in this forum
36 to debate which method of changing light bulbs is superior, where to buy the best light bulbs, what brand of light bulbs work best for this technique, and some highlighting what brands are cheap but poor quality and therefore not a money saving concept afterall.
7 to post URLs where one can see examples of different types of light bulbs
14 to post almost simultaneously that ONE of the URLs failed with Error 404 "Page not found"
5 to post that some other URLs were incorrect and then post the corrected URLs
7 men to post that they enjoyed, even preferred, the incorrect URLs that had naked women on the end, especially the one with the enormous pair of 200 watt beauties.
3 to post about links they had found from the URL's that proved how light bulbs pertained to thread members which makes light bulbs relevant to this forum
18 women (that were only going to read the thread and not post comment UNTIL the men posted about enjoying pictures of naked women) to post how degraded and insulted they now feel, that the men are insensitive sexist pigs and have a quick b1tch about the 200 Watt beauties NOT being real.
13 to link all the posts to date, quote them in their entirety including all headers and signatures, and add "Me too" to the end !
2 women to post in defence of the mens' comments and supply URLs to pictures of naked men to even up the debate and strike a blow for equality.
11 women to post "lewd" comments about the naked men along the lines of "not being very illuminating" (Ha-ha) due to "the rather small size of their CANDLES!"
3 to post "CAN WE PLEASE GET BACK ON TOPIC"
4 to post that "It's NOT polite to SHOUT!
5 to post that they will make no further posts because they cannot handle the light bulb controversy
4 to say "didn't we have the same discussion last month ?"
3 to say "For God's sake, haven't you heard of Google ? Just do a Google search on light bulbs before asking stupid and inane questions about light bulbs. Find the answers yourself you lazy bar-steward"
1 to most vehemently and fervidly suggest blasphemy for taking the lord's name in vain
13 to make light bulb jokes replying to the "religious nut" with "incandescent" puns and "saving their energy" remarks in reference to the latst CFL technology
and finally ...
1 member to stumble across the thread 6 months from now, respond to the original post and start it all over again.
Seem to remember this been posted elsewhere before today.................

Be careful when shopping by internet at Tescos.com. They have am 'Internet only offers' section which lists a few items at special internet prices. What it doesn't tell you is that you only get the reduction on one of any product. Last week I bought several of a few of the products and it was only by chance that I noticed I'd only got a reduction on a single product. The discount shown was about £3 (It comes up on the bill as ecoupon code) when it should have been over £10. I phobed up and the guy I spoke to didn't even know about the page on the site and in the end just deducted the other costs. I did tell him that it was misleading and asked him to look into it. This week I have just done shoping again. They have as an example Radox bubble bath at half price. I put 5 in my basket which goes on as full price then when I check out it shows discount on 1 only (I know their discounts usually come off later on but this is different and shows at checkout as a ecoupon code) I'm sure many people will have bought lots from this page without realising that they are paying full price.0

Mine too :embarasse
Before finding this thread, I always used to wonder why so many staff seemed to be just wandering around the store looking as though they never had any 'work' to do- and yet not be caught out by their manager etc................... think I have found my answer lol.
There are very, very rarely any DTD at our stores.:rolleyes:0 -
SEL was £4.78 on yellow sel stating save £4.99. Actually charged £6.85, an overcharge of £2.07, giving me DTD of £4.14 making a final cost of £2.71. Please note that this memory card is for Sony Eriksson mobiles.

Have Tesco changed the way BOGOFs & other discounts are written on the receipt?
Today I bought the malt loaf bogof and the naan bread bogof.
On the receipt the discount for the 2 bogofs had been combined into a single reduction :S
Is Tesco intentionally trying to make it more difficult to spot misprices0 -
