Got my DD a transparent cover for her NDS. These are £9.99 in Currys et al. She can now put stickers all over it!
  • The lanterns are quite fun, you light theburner underneath it fills with hot air raises for about 20 mins , as the burner finishes it comes back down. quite effective just after dusk..

I've not tried the ones from poundland but these are great. They do involve fire/flames so need to be supervised but as a previous person said they are even more fun at dusk or at night ... and with the nights drawing in that shouldn't impede on the kids bed times. I tried mine on a rather breezy day and they floated away, oops!
  • can bit a bit dodgy if you have trees/ hedges close by, our local firebrigade was called to a fire in the summer after someone let these go after a wedding and a few were caught in tree branches ( was quite dry at the time tho)
  • Our local store occasionally has Simple brand hand creams and body lotions, a really good saving on the usual price of £2.99++
