Some items from Strathkelvin Retail Park, Bishopbriggs, Glasgow:

Pretty Polly Shape It Up! Tummy Shaping Cami (only seems to be Black, S/M in this store - unless they get more in)

Collection Work The Colour Nude Eye Palette
    85wUlQN.jpg?1
Bob Martin Flea & Tick Spot On - For Puppies & Small Dogs From 12 Weeks, or For Large Dogs Over 15kg - 4 Weeks Protection (added this before but don't think I've seen the Large Dogs variety in my Poundland(s).

Sorry the pictures aren't all together as usual, only bought one of these items :)

Just a word to the wise, after an awful experience with fleas a few summer's ago. My vet says that anything like Frontline or these Bob Martin products are completely ineffective against fleas. Anything worth spending your money on must contain Imidacloprid as the active ingredient. These cheap products that end up instore like this are essentially old formulations that are out of licence and no longer effective because the fleas etc build up resistance (much like the current problem with antibiotic resistance). All info from my vet.

Note - even Bob Martin's website says Fipronil was the no 1 active ingredient previously sold only on prescription by vets. BIG CLUE - it is NOT effective!

I can't comment on flea products' effectiveness as I don't have pets and was only dog-sitting :) but I did see some worrying comments about the Bob Martin Spot On treatment for cats, that it could even be fatal (what's the ingredient there, I wonder)?

However, the blog/forum posts I was seeing were from around 5-10 years ago.

To muddy the waters further, Bob Martin Spot On also has a "Clear" variety which has the Frontline ingredient Fipronil.

I'd be interested to know how effective, and of course, SAFE the Poundland variety is.

My comment on HUKD earlier more or less mentioned this - I went by the Amazon reviews before purchase (well, technically mum bought it for my niece's dog).
I've been dog sitting and I did ask mum that (who bought some) - apparently Bob Martin also do a Spot On variety that has "Fipronil" (the same ingredient as Frontline) - though it's called Spot On Clear https://www.amazon.co.uk/Bob-Martin-Clear-Fipronil-Small/dp/B007KIPM6M

There are forum conversations on the web comparing Bob Martin Spot On to Frontline, they don't specify which variety they're referring to.

The Poundland Bob Martin Spot On - not sure which ingredient that has.

*I should elaborate on this and say I see horror stories about Bob Martin Spot On drops (again, not sure which variety of Spot On) - but the forum posts I'm seeing are around 5-10 years old, and mostly relate to the Cat variety. Obviously I wouldn't want to use anything that would harm an animal, so some up-to-date info on this would be useful, if anyone has any.

Some reviews on Amazon for the Large Dog variety (which we used): https://www.amazon.co.uk/twin-pack-martin-flea-tick/product-reviews/B00GTR5E0Y/ref=cm_cr_dp_d_show_all_top?ie=UTF8&reviewerType=all_reviews

As far as I know, mum and niece have been very happy with Frontline with their dog.

Thanks for the info Wizzbang. Currently going through an annoying case of fleas with my cat, she's not infested in them but its enough to be a nuisance. Been using flea collars from home bargains that kept most of them at bay. Tried a bob martin one thinking they would be more effective and it attracted the fleas!! She had loads of them around her neck and the collar after using it. Costing me a ton of money using various things so may have to speak to the vet for a recommendation as its annoying the hell out of me now!!

There's a 50p gardening sale in Argyle Street, Glasgow Poundland at the moment.

I've probably missed a few things out, but here's what I can see - in no particular order:

Soaker Hose 6m, Easy Moss Liners, Potato Grow Bag, Tomato Grow Bag, 2 Coco Liners, Easy Moss Liners, Planting Mat, Jet Spray Nozzle, Solar Light, Garden Tap, 50 Wooden Seed Labels & Pencil, Decorative Ball Solar Light, Herbs Ceramic Pots (quite small), Cane Grippers, Garden Twine, Garden Bag, Water Storage Gel Liners, Poly Tunnel Cloche, Orchid Mister Bottles, "Too Many Weeds, Not Enough Time" hanging decoration, Twist Tie With Cutter, Decking Solar Light, 2 Pack Garden Gloves, Rock Key Hider, Wooden Dibber.

There may be a pesky shelf just underneath, out of shot, that I've missed. Will try and go back tomorrow to check.

There are 50p sections in all my local Glasgow city centre Poundlands..mostly gardening stuff but more of a mixture (annuals, jewellery, etc) in some other stores (took some pictures but got a bit confusing figuring out what was in which store and couldn't fit all the items in my viewfinder, so gave up!).

Got this from Sauchiehall Street, Glasgow yesterday - 6 Pack Of Girls' Hair Clips (seeing as there's a bit of a unicorn craze at the moment!)

Seems the 50p Sale is in all stores, as it was being reported on various media outlets yesterday: http://www.mirror.co.uk/money/poundland-launches-first-ever-summer-10905760

Anyone spotted any Star Wars merchandise in the shops here?

Get some advantage for cats. Either the small cat or large cat ones (also does rabbits). Can order from one of the online vet places for about £9-10 for a packet of 4. It kills all the fleas on the animal within 24 hours then protects them for a month-6 weeks. Also kills any fleas lurking in their favourite bedding.

It's a different active ingredient that frontline which fleas, at least in my area, are all now immune to.

I've got 5 cats so need to keep on top of them or we'd be an itchy house! Bit more expensive than the bob martin stuff but actually works so savings in the long run.:)

Sorry for going off-topic but HUKD had a Deal for this a few days ago - http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/advantage-spot-flea-treatment-for-cats-dogs-rabbits-3-packs-4-pipettes-each-from-2752914

(I don't know about prices for these ordinarily, so just going by the Heat of the Deal).
