while it’s easy to wander off-topic that could stop newbies finding the information they want quickly and easily (please see the forum rule) so please keep this thread on topic. If you’d like to discuss non-MoneySaving related topics please continue your discussion in The MoneySavers Arms or Discussion Time. If you have any questions about this policy please email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com.

Please just stick to posting the bargains. Thanks.

(Mods feel free to delete this chatter in the interim - but I am just responding).

At my end, the pictures display fine and at a decently viewable ratio/size for this forum (on certain configurations) so I had no knowledge of "annoying" anyone - if that's what's being implied (?).

Either I'll stop posting pictures (to avoid more complaints) or suggestions to "solve" it are welcome.

Doesn't seem to be an issue posting these images elsewhere, eg, on Hotukdeals, where I sometimes post Poundland/world Deals, too, so I assumed MSE Forums were the same.

I'm grateful for the pics - makes it easier to find the bargains if you know what the packaging looks like!

To keep on topic, a while ago I asked if anyone had tried the Poundland fence paint - I have now myself, and thought it was quite reasonable for the money, decent enough colour and thickness.

Any feedback on the £1 damp traps?

We are changing our laundry drying location, from double kitchen to small bedroom, and wondered if they would be any good in addition to opening the window/ heating the room dependent on season.

The kitchen is so well aired and heated in the normal course of things we've never had to do any extra and zero damp/mould in 10+ years.

They are brilliant! I no longer need to use them, since we demolished the offending damp porch and conservatory on our house. But they really work. I've also borrowed dehumidifiers from friends in the past, but could never find one cheap enough to buy and new they are hundreds.

• Thanks for the post about the foot packs. Had I not seen the photo I wouldn't have known what to look for. I bought them on a whim and used them on holiday after a day of sightseeing they were very soothing. I threw the booties away but i'm sure you could reuse them with another product. Cheers LouLou

Here's perhaps an affordable possibility at £119 from Lidl with a three year warranty:

Trongate, Glasgow Poundland (things look a bit damp, raining heavily here!):

L'Oreal Lipgloss, shade 200 Princess (yes, one of those that was mentioned a few times months ago), Tropicana Pure Premium Tropical Fruit (Big Pack 1.3 litres), Girls Rule mini ball which was 50p (other DC male/female superhero designs as well).

Unfortunately I seem to have lifted the wrong receipt or I'd have included that, too :)

All £1, apart from the 50p item.

Edit: There's a post about this on HUKD, where the OP natz265 states these Tropicana cartons are/were 1.6 litres:

Wonder if they have changed the pack size and that's why Poundland has had them in to clear them as they are £2 when on offer in most supermarkets. Mine was definitely 1.6l 2 week ago.

• mine in the fridge is a 1.6L

Some things from Argyle Street, Glasgow, tonight:

Vimto Squash Remix (Raspberry, Orange & Passionfruit - No Added Sugar - 35% Extra Free) 1 Litre,
Flash Multi-Surface Concentrated Cleaner (With Febreze) 400ml,
The Original Candle Co. Sea Breeze Scented Tin Candle 235g/18hrs burn time (approx),
The Original Candle Co. Sea Breeze Reed Diffuser Set 50ml,
Disney Pixar The Good Dinosaur Poster Art XL 3 x A3 Colouring Pictures & 6 Markers,
Star Wars A5 Notebook (alas, doesn't say how many pages - there's also Avengers, Emoji, Spider-Man, My Little Pony, Animal Jam Notebooks on display).

Forgot to add the 6pk of Golden Wonder Pickled Onion I bought too - they also have Sausage & Tomato (my favourite flavour ever).
7tkZd9b.jpg?1
These Original Candle Co. items are now all 50p:

Wax Melts various scents*, Unscented Pillar Candles, Unscented Tealights x 40pk, 24pk Scented Tealights*, Votives & Incense With Holder*, Reed Diffusers*, 2pk Fragrance Sachets*, 2pk Tealight Candle Holders (with bow - can't really see what those are), Ceramic Oil Burner With Oil*, 2 x Pack Fragrance Oils*, Bell Jar Candle (small jars with lid)*, Pot Pourri*, Glass Tealight Holders and Ceramic Lanterns (bottom shelf).

There's also Dark Red 2 x Dinner Candles (near the bottom, on the left - not sure if they're scented) and Unscented Dinner Candles (top shelf, on the left) - but can't see how many is in the box.

*All items with asterisk come in various scents:
Beige = Vanilla,
Blue = Sea Breeze,
Lilac = Sugared Almonds.

The scented candles smelt quite strong to my nose - in store, anyway, but will report back what I think of the Sea Breeze Candle Tin.

Edit: I would say the Candle Tin's scent is "subtle" - definitely no Yankee, but it is 50p!\

Edit 24th August: Still plenty 50p scents, oils, etc left. The 40 Pack of Unscented Tea Lights is actually £1 - bit sneaky putting them in that section!
