In Lancaster today there were huge quantities of BELKIN cables of all descriptions, Scart, HDMI, HDMI to HDMI mini, Display port, USB2, USB3, DVI etc etc. Loads of 'em! I picked up a Display port to DVI cable which is an unusual combination and the last place I would have expected to find it was Poundland, I have a Display port to HDMI converter and that cost about a tenner so I am well chuffed to get the cable.

Also lots of copies of Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince on DVD, 2 disc. Probably new rather than the replay ones.

I popped into Poundland this afternoon and.....didn't buy a single thing! Is this because I've got enough stuff? Or was it a Poundland fail?! :o

I was in poundland the beginning of this week picking up bits when I spotted this...http://www.collectioncosmetics.co.uk/face/foundation/colour-match-foundation.aspx

Only in the shade 'ivory'. DD19 is very pale and always on the hunt for an affordable pale foundation. I got this on the off chance that it would suit and she liked it so much she asked me to get whatever was left on the shelf. By the time I got back there was only 1 left (sales assistant told me they sold 60 units in 2 days!) our shop re-stocks on monday so I was told to come back next week, might be useful for others on the look out for a foundation.
No buying unnecessary toiletries 2014. Epiphany on 4/4/14 - went into shop to buy 2 items, walked out with 17!

Yesterday I bought a pack of 8 x 36g bars Wonka millionaire's shortbread choc bars BB 07/14,packaged in a clear bag with 'amazing value' written on. Great value I thought :)
Found some today, but I had to look carefully. They were in a bin concealed under a load of vanilla Creme ones in 4 packs, my persistence paid off :)

Got a couple of nemo and crush the turtle magic flannels (packed small and grow in water). Pleased my kids and actually much better quality than other magic flannels they have had, much bigger and thicker
  • Three-packs of Nakd oatie bars, in Cocoa Loco and Berry Cheeky varieties.

Usually around 70p or more so I'm very happy to have found them so cheap. Dated August.
