I was in Poundland yesterday and the, very well dressed, lady behind me, had two pull along baskets crammed with what looked like the same dvds plus some torches. I didn't want to be too nosey but I suppose she was going to sell them on or something. Who could be bothered?

She'll get a shock because she'll realise she won't be the only one doing that and she won't make any money on them.

In my Poundland today they had packs of 3 x 30 grammes nakd bars for £1. There was a choice of Berry Cherry, Apple Pie or Cocoa Loco. These bars are vegan and gluten free - a mix of fruit, oats and nuts. In Tesco a pack of 4 x 30 grammes bars is £2.49 - so this is a real bargain if you like them!

250g bags of Nestle cereal. They had nesquik, one other...can't remember which and cini minis. I bought the cini minis in Herons the other day for 75p but got the last bag. Tried them last night and they are blummin lovely so I decided to splash out and pay a whole pound for them as they are so nice.

We don't have a Poundland, but there is a very similar town (also a post-war New Town) across the other side of the county. Poundland opened there and I was quite surprised as they were up against Poundworld. The Poundland closed within the year, presumably as the turnover just wasn't enough. This was a couple of years ago. So I think they do have a policy of closing under-performing stores.
Haven't been in my nearest one for AGES, sweets, books and toiletries all too tempting and I need none of those things. :o
