I picked up a zhu zhu hamster today and the girl took it off me at the till, something about not being able to sell them and she didn't know why. Anybody else had this happen?

That happened to me over the summer with a usb fan and also last Christmas with the santa bin bags - both times I had no explanation and even when I asked why were the shelves fully stocked with both no-one knew!

Bought some H&S (250ml) today which I thought was good value. I usually end up buying 3*400ml for £10 on offer.

Also some weird spirally hair pins for buns - one is said to do the job of 20 pins. There are 2 in a pack and I shall be quite devastated if I lose even one of them

Eta: showed my mum my find over Skype and she recognised them from the 1960s. She told me they were called ring combs. I've stuck them in today and they seen secure enough. This is the nearest image I can find online:
